This former A+ list mostly movie actress hid from the cameras the other night but couldn't hide from other diners who saw the permanent A list name recognition actress spend the meal time in a non-stop round trip route to the bathroom and then back to her table. She made a big deal of laying off the booze but was out of her mind wasted by the end of the night. When she is that far gone it is one big mess.

Kabbalah obviously failed her. Why can't she do an Angie and use her celebrity to make a positive difference in the lives of people?
Demi's character greatly interfered with my ability to enjoy Rob Lowe's hotness :-).
as enty has taught us, frequent bathroom trips equal a coke habit. so if demi insists she is off "the booze" technically she is.

She could indeed do something more humanitarian and pull a St Angie, Sharon Stone maneuver. She'd still be in the spotlight, she'd actually come in contact with men her own age who are doing good work and have status and money and she would be vaulted in the publics eye. I'll bet people have said this to her and it's fallen on deaf ears.
When you think about how big a mess her kids are, and keep in mind they grew up in Idaho, then you know she's just not got it in her to care about others that way.
Her children are still young enough to look up to their mom for support and she's one hot mess. Hopefully that will change soon but she's being a bad example in the process and that's not healthy for them.

Why can't she just stay home and eat dinner? That way she can have the coke right next to her and not have to go through all the problems associated with public drug use.

It certainly won't...there's a massive heart attack in her future, or at least heart/lung damage, if there isn't already.
@Sherry - ha! Rob's character was also a hot mess in that movie - but he was awfully cute. As you may deduce, I wasn't a big fan of St. Elmo's Fire :-).

No wonder Tallulah is such a mess. The other ones probably are too, Scout feels the need to show her tits constantly, and Rumer is apparently delusional just like mommy. How sad. But what kind of example was Demi, chasing way too young men, doing drugs and desperately pretending to be young? Poor kids, it's not like they have their looks to fall back on or anything, and Daddy has his new wife and kids so he probably doesn't care.

i thought wasted was wasted. clearly there are levels but i assumed a bathroom trips (in enty world) meant coke. ((shrug))
Not sure why but in both celebrity and real life families, the parent with the least desirable behavior seems to have the strongest influence on the kids. Drugs, drinking, promiscuity, assholedness, it repeats in a majority of the kids over the more well-behaved parents influence.

Demi is a creature of her own making, but she breaks my heart anyway. Such pure desperation at the heart if it all. Just like Mariah. People with such profound issues should certainly not have children! What chance do any of their kids have for some healthy self-esteem & a realistic view of the world?
I look at her and I have no idea why she ever had kids. She's a horrible mother and yet she had 3. Back when she and Bruce were riding high in Hollywood they were really the "It" couple for awhile then. All I ever remember hearing her talk about in interviews even back then was herself. Like her whole life's plan never extended beyond getting famous.
What's weird is when they moved away from Hollywood to raise their kids, everyone figured their kids were gonna grow up to be well adjusted and have their heads screwed on straight. Demi went from having it all to throwing it all away, and her kids sound like a bunch of fucked up shitheads.

I bet when Demi's kids were little, and went to make a soft drink, mum had already emptied all the soda stream canisters for huffing.
It's a shame that Demi is such a nut job because she could still be a very sexy woman if she would grow up and act her age.
