What former B list television actor and now, a C- list wannabe who lives off his residuals and what he did before, recently made a bet with his friends that he could have sex with five different women in one day. Hey, when you have nothing else to do with your day, I guess you come up with these things. The sad part is that he had no problems at all meeting his quota. Do women think they are going to be with this guy permanently? Do they want to say they had sex with a has been? Is he somehow going to help their career when he cannot fix his?

No One Comes To See Julia Roberts And Tom Hanks

It is the end of June and in Los Angeles that usually means two things. June Gloom is almost over and tourists are everywhere wondering why the heck there is no sun until noon. Actually in full disclosure the sun has been out for the past few days in the morning, but still, June Gloom is the norm. With tourists always here, Hollywood premieres at Grauman's Chinese Theatre are usually loud and noisy with everyone trying to get a glimpse of even C listers as they make their way inside. If you have never been to Los Angeles, this would be like putting a premiere in the middle of Times Square. It always has tourists.

Anyway, yesterday, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts had the premiere of Larry Crowne and no one was there. Seriously. It was empty. I don't know if it was too hot and everyone was back at the pool, but if you ever wanted to meet Julia or Tom, yesterday was your day. No crowds, no one even caring if you stayed on the other side of the ropes. I also wonder if perhaps Tom and Julia have lost a little of their magic. Not so much at the box office, but some of their luster and mystery. Is this a world where people would much rather meet Kim Kardashian and don't care about Tom and Julia? As much as it pains me to say, if Kim Kardashian was announced to be there yesterday the place would have been packed.

Amanda Knox

Thought I would take a break from the ongoing Casey Anthony trial and discuss Amanda Knox. In case you are not familiar with her, she is an American college student who, along with her boyfriend at the time were convicted of murdering Amanda's British roommate, Meredith Kercher. There was a love triangle that was involved in this and sex games and everyone is good looking and young so it all has received much more attention than it probably would have otherwise. Amanda is also in trouble for a slander charge because she says Italian police hit her in the head. That trial starts in November. Her parents also are in trouble for the same thing, accusing police of mistreating their daughter. A hearing in the case is set for July 4th. Right now, Amanda is appealing her sentence so it is basically another trial.

At this point, I don't know what to think. I have to say at the time of the trial I thought Amanda was guilty. Yes, there are lots of holes in the evidence, but there are holes in Casey Anthony's case too. I did not see a really credible other story. Amanda says she was at home and said the owner of the bar where she worked killed Meredith. He didn't. He had a solid alibi for the entire night. At one point, Amanda confessed, but then says she was under pressure so don't treat it like a confession.

Points in Amanda's favor include the fact that a man named Rudy Guede had sex with Meredith that night, but Rudy says another man killed her while he was in the bathroom. Guede was sentenced to 16 years in jail, but yesterday would not rule out that Amanda was the killer. Also, forensic evidence has not ruled out Amanda as the killer. I still think she is guilty. This guy Rudy has already been convicted. He could have said he did it and Amanda was innocent. He did not.

Prince Albert Cheating - Charlene Wittstock Wants Out

Apparently it does not matter to Charlene Wittstock if you are royalty or not. If you cheat on her she is gone. Talk about a runaway bride. I did not go to the Bradley Cooper school of French so mine is pretty lousy. But, what I gather from reading L'Express is that Charlene wanted to leave the Prince and fly back home to South Africa but was stopped at the airport by French officials and persuaded to return. Nothing worse than having a royal wedding be canceled. Can you imagine Kate deciding a week before the wedding that she decided not to go through with it. Well, Monaco is not exactly England, but Prince Albert is still Grace Kelly's child so there is some relation to celebrity and stardom.

I say good for Charlene. She converted to Catholicism, learned French, and has had to listen to every Prince Albert in a can joke for the past few years, but it took cheating for her to leave. Prince Albert has had several illegitimate children over the years and I am guessing he cheated on her when she was in Athens last weekend and she found out and kept on going.
