Random Photos Part One -- Gotham Awards Edition

If Joan Collins was my grandmother, I would be smiling from ear to ear also.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem pretend they have never seen each other despite the fact they just ate a meal together.
If it is nighttime and New York, you have to wear black. Maggie Gyllenhaal has got kind of a Sally Field thing going on here, but without the aww shucks attitude. Maggie also looks like she weighs 50 pounds.
Laura Linney was one of the few who broke out of the funeral mood at The Gotham Awards and therefore stands out and gets noticed. I remember when everyone said she was going to be the next Meryl Streep and just win award after award. She is a great actress, but until recently was kind of a pain to work with which probably had something to do with her B list career despite A list talent.
Keri Russell looks like she hasn't eaten in a month. Come on people. It's winter, eat some food.
Whenever you are feeling down, just download a photo of Joe Pantoliano. He always cracks me up. An ass, but he always cracks me up.
Uma Thurman looks incredible.
How about some Timothy Olyphant for you? I can probably find more if you like him.
Tea Leoni out supporting one of my favorite charities.
It is so nice to see the cranky old man Roger Ebert back out and about. Since he is doing so much better, can I go ahead and say that I watched Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls over the weekend and it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Everyone has always told me it is good in a campy kind of way. It's campy, but I couldn't stand it.
I don't understand why Patrick Dempsey just can't get throw on some shorts and a shirt and ride. Is he that desperate to get noticed as a bike rider? I know he thinks he looks cool, but he doesn't.

Gotta love Joey Pants!

Tea Leoni is so pretty. Why does she always look like she has a broom stuck up her ass?

My advance apologies to the avid 10-speeders out there, but...

NO ONE LOOKS GOOD IN THAT BIKE GEAR. NO ONE.

I have definitely been noticing of late and now realize that it is official: Uma has had her eyes done. She's getting that look that every actress over a certain age is getting -- The most disturbing thing is that they all start looking like someone else.

I love Timothy too, but my gay friend just told me he's gay...and I'm in complete denial!

TO has a bit of a Federline look here. ugh!

less than fortunate photo of Keri Russell. I love her.

Maggie's head doesn't fit on her body.

Uma is beautiful.

The girl with Pene, is she a Salma replacement?

I went to a screening for a movie a few months ago called "Canvas" w/ Joey Pants and Marcia Gay Harden. The director was there and talked about how Joey was really committed to the film since he had to deal with a mother with mental health issues, too (plot of the film). Also talked about how Joey wrote a great autobiography and has mellowed out some after learning about all the problems his mom had. It was a really great story.

You know, there *is* something different about Uma but I'm not sure it is her eyes. Here is a picture that is from the Super Ex-Girlfriend set:
http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0465624/Ss/0465624/001R.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Thurman,%20Uma

Is it just weight gain? Do think she got a bunch of Restylane filling?

Or is it a forehead lift plus a nose job?

"Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls" is one of my favorite movies. You might find it tedious but it's a clever send-up of melodrama with fine-looking actresses (who don't have necessarily huge breasts) to boot. The ending is actually one of the craziest things anybody will watch in its entire life.

Ent, are you sure that's Timothy Olyphant? He has lost A LOT of weight, don't get me wrong, he looks great, I'd just like to know what diet he is on. And on the gay rumors, I've never heard them.

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls - I have read that the psycho producer was based entirely on Phil Specter. In the final scene of the movie, if you watch it, see if you can't NOT think of Lana Clarkson. I dare you. I double dare you. My jaw was hanging while I was watching it. It was the creepiest ever.

I would never have known that was Uma--I'm looking at the picture with the caption that says it's Uma, and I still don't see her. If that's really her, she's vaulted herself into a class with Priscilla Presley, Melanie Griffith, and the Von Wildenstein beast...someone needs to stage an intervention.

dnfrommn, do you recommend renting the movie? Or isn't it out yet?

Penolope: 2 million a year to be a beard.

Not bad work if you can get it. you just have to sign a whole bunch of stuff swearing you will never write a book or leak info that in any way can be sold to tabloids or anyone else with a 'vicious' intent towards the CO$.

At what cost, a soul?

*Penelope. yikes, sorry for typo.

My former attorney is Matthew's attorney. She also talks a lot when she's drunk.

That Maggie Gyllenhaal outfit is truely awful. Whichever stylist told her to wear that outfit should not be hired again. It managed to be washed out and have a very ugly pattern to boot.

And nice to know Keri Russell is trying to bring back art smocks. She's never going to get off the B/C list wearing something most commonly found on the discount racks of art supply stores.

BtVotD is such a great movie in a campy cheese way. I mean, some of the lines out of Z man's mouth are classic. And boobies don't hurt. :) (uh, not his)

twisted: "Canvas" doesn't have a distributor yet, I think. I saw it as a screening sponsored by a university film club and psychiatry department.

Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is campy goodness (despite ent's hate). It is awful, but enjoy it for how awful it is.

Timothy Olyphant is one of the rare straight actors Hollywood. That's definitely true.
