Ugly Betty Saying Bye Bye? - Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Ugly Betty is being taken off the air until about June in order to give Samantha Who a shot at the Ugly Betty time slot. Umm, didn't ABC just move the entire cast to New York? If they were going to cancel the show or do something like this, the least they could have done is let everyone stay here instead of laying people off, forcing people to sell their homes and moving across the country and then jerking them around like this.
So What? - Every blog it seems in the world has posted the photo above of Jessica Simpson. Some of them have also posted a rear view shot as well. So what if the woman has curves. As all of you know, I am not a fan of Jessica Simpson the person, but it should not be a national crisis or front page news if she puts on five pounds or if she is pregnant or whatever. OK, well it would be news if she was pregnant. Of course that means the Cowboys would probably be jinxed forever because Tony Romo would do the right thing and marry her if it is his. It is his right? OK, she probably isn't even pregnant. She just got some curves. She looks good.
Bijou Phillips Pulls A Cruise - No, she didn't jump on a couch or yell at Matt Lauer, but she and her Scientology self did go off on the world and anyone in the world who takes a pill for depression. She gave an interview to Paper Magazine where she basically blasted anyone who thinks they are depressed and told them to stop being such a f**king pansy." I think it has less to do with her curves and more to do with that train wreck of an outfit she is wearing. I mean, TWO leopard print belts AND mom front jeans? Horrendous.
I really can't stand bimbo Jessica. What she is wearing doesn't help her looks. I think she gained more than 5 lbs. Also her ass needs more fat to make it look decent instead of a flat board hehehe.
enty, regarding jessica, it's nothing to do w/ her weight or curves or whatever. it's about those nightmare mom jeans, the ill-fitting tank and the animal print--all in one outfit. it's vomit inducing. this is probably her worst fashion faux pas EVER.
I agree regarding Jessica S. and her curves. However, that is an unfortunate ensemble! The poor girl looks like a stereotypical 40-something Jersey mom (or a Southern mom. (No offence to Jersey moms, don't shoot me)

I think it's a bad choice of outfits on Jessica's part. She hasn't gained *that* much weight,and I'm sure in person it's not that apparent.
As for Bijou, she isn't the most talented performer. Saw her in Hedwig when it was in LA, not the strongest choice to play Yitzak, she should be grateful she's getting roles in the first place.

Bijou Phillips--the daughter of notorious druggy John Phillips. If what he wrote in his book is true, her mother wasn't too far behind in the drug use And those weren't prescribed drugs they were taking. Obviously it made her a little special. She should visit a mental health facility sometime and then tell people they don't need to take anything for depression.

I think Jessica looks better with some meat on the bones. It's nice to see celebrity women - no matter where they are on the list - who look like women and not 12-year old boys.
Although I agree that many people resort to psychopharmaceuticals before actually dealing with their problems, I am not a shrink and neither is Bijou Phillips. Is she only against prescription drugs? Just asking. No particular reason. I'm sure she is COMPLETELY SOBER AT ALL TIMES ALWAYS *stern look*.

I agree with everyone else regarding Jessica Simpson. I don't like her either, but love, love, love!!! that she isn't scrawny skinny. I'd love to have her shape. BUT - I wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit that is putting 20 lbs on her.
The thing with Jessica...if I didn't know who that was in the pics, I'd gladly fall for her. But knowing it's Jess, all I can do is laugh and make jokes about someone deciding this was a 2 belt job.

I get really annoyed when people refer to weight gain as curves. Curves are when you have hips, boobs, a butt, etc. Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield are good examples of women who were curvy, not Rosie O'Donnell or Roseanne, who are just overweight. I do think Jessica looks good and she isn't overweight. I also think she is curvy no matter how much she weight because she has that natural hour glass shape. But I do not think gaining weight makes someone suddenly become curvy.
While the pants and belt(s) aren't flattering, what caught my eye are the extra boobs under her armpits? Everybody knows to tuck those in when you wear a tank top, right?
She would look fine if she just wore a more flattering outfit.
JS looks better with curves as most women do....am so tired of the stick boy/little girl look, these women should know better, and if it is the men who are liking it well...I have got to wonder about them too.

The problem with JSimp's "curves" is that they are in the wrong places. She has what appears to be either a 4-month pregnancy or a nasty beer gut, new back-fat and extra junk in her trunk that causes her rear to bleed into both her back and her thighs. She *might* just be wearing ill-fitting clothes but I'm in agreement with some of the comments about her weight gain. It's just not proportional and therefore, does not look good - AT ALL!!
what's odd is that the scios have no problem with other drugs. and their narconon (not to be confused with narcanon), which bee-juice obviously did not attend, is another "let's cure addiction with vitamins and saunas" cold turkey thousands up front no refunds program. if said patient can't handle the cold turkey and scio approach, they drop them off at a flea trap motel with $20 and say good-bye. and they get to keep the 18 or 28 thousand (can't remember which it is) that they got paid to "cure" one of one's addiction.

Why do people have to refer to these jeans as "mom" jeans? Are there any moms here who would wear these? They're from mid-80s. Maybe they were her own mother's jeans. So she was performing at a chili cookoff? Is that the only place she can draw a crowd now?
I agree with kanonymous - curvy is *not* synonymous with weight gain.
I also don't get how these "gone country" types seem to think being "country" means wearing trashy, tacky clothes. That stereotype just bugs me, especially when it's so freely perpetuated.

People, look at pictures of Marilyn Monroe. Look at pictures of Jane Russell. These women are curvy. Now count their chins. How many? One. That's right.
Now look at Jessica. Look at the obese actresses out there the media calls "curvy". Yeah, technically rolls of fat DO curve, but that is NOT what is meant by the term "curvy". Curvy should refer to pleasant roundness of chest and hips due to a nicely balanced muscle/fat ratio.
Obese does not equal curvy. GAH.

I don't see what the surprise with UB being on the bubble, it's numbers since the beginning of the season had it performing worse than Private Practice in the A18-49 demo. The ratio of it's A18-49 viewers to the average of the network has it as a candidate for cancellation since the second episode of the season,
EL OH EL. Because taking mental health advice and/or medicinal advice from a member of the effed-up, cracked-out Phillips clan is REALLY what the world needs.
Thanks, Elizabeth, it's nice to hear from someone who agrees with me on this. I'm not trying to rip on Rosie or Roseanne or any other big actresses out there, it's just that I think we need to be a little more truthful: they're overweight, not curvy.
I do think Jessica is pretty and not unhealthily overweight, although her arms do look pretty big in that picture. But the outfit she wears is not flattering. I know it would make me look fat, and I'm not fat.
