Mel Gibson Fans Rest Easy - And An Oksana Article From 7 Years Ago
Earlier in the weekend there were reports that Mel had sold one of his houses and was going to live in Australia or anywhere outside the US. They acted like the one house was all that he had here. It would not have surprised me if he took a little six month sabbatical somewhere, but I don't think he would ever leave the US. What cracked me up about the whole thing was the statement released by his publicist. They have not said a word in two weeks about anything important, but when the subject of Mel moving comes up, they respond.
"There is not truth to the rumors Mel Gibson is leaving the States and wants his fans to know he is going to stay."
Umm, fans? I think he could have just called all of them and let them know. There could not be more than one or two.

A story of a Russian girl, who did an impossible thing: married a principal bachelor James Bond Timothy Dalton and gave him baby.
After Oksana Chernuha had married Timothy Dalton, envy people of criminal Saransk, Mordovia, her native city, her parents’ flat was broken into a few times, their shop was set on fire. Nobody knows that nothing much changed in the Chernuhas life since the “star” marriage of their daughter. They still teach music, still have the same small flat in an ordinary building of 50ies, same soviet furniture – and no fairy riches.
But her mother remembers troubles, and refuses giving interviews. She nearly screamed on the phone: “If you would write something, you will deal with a millionaire. He’s a Hollywood star! A famous man! He will crush you, sue you, and you will be closed. He can do all… He loves her. She is the beauty. They have a wonderful baby… And you intrude a personal life of a Hollywood star. Only troubles you cause…”. We asked her whether she probably wants to dissolve all the wrong rumors associated with her daughter, but received the same answer: “You can not imagine whom you are dealing with…”
The talk with James Bond’s mother in law couldn’t go on. So we had to get information from Oksana’s friends
Oksana was born in 1970. Since she was four, she’d been studying fortepiano. She was not favored in the school: studied well, didn’t hang out, learned music and read Chekhov. Tall, skinny and pimpled face. But by the final year in school she turned a real beauty. Then commenced conservatory in Kazan, and in three years went to capture England.
From volunteers into models
Oksana came to England in 1991, as a volunteer, and looked after an old woman for some time. She charmed the hostess’ son, and then he played a great role in her destiny. Oksana’s friends comment: “Many went abroad, but she did an impossible thing: married a principal bachelor Dalton and born a baby for him!”
The only thing Oksana couldn’t do is change Dalton’s personality in regards to money: he never squandered money. However, when her parents’ shop was burnt, James Bond’s heart moved after her long prayers…
Oksana’s rival loves her son
Three years ago her parents have been to Hollywood to celebrate the couple’s son, Alexander Peter Dalton, 3rd birthday (Dalton paid for the trip). Right after the visit her mother’s interview was on TV late at night. She couldn’t hide her joy: “Oksana’s got a lot of friends there. Vanessa Redgrave for example. Despite she used to be in love with Dalton and lived 14 years together with him, she stepped over the personal offence. She communicates with Oksana and enjoys playing with Alexander. She spoke little of the grandson: “She looks pretty much like his father, already elegant and prudish. So I called him officially, Alexander Peter”
The grandfather was more emotional about him: “Speaks in two languages, English and Russian. If only I could do that!”
They brung no valuables from that trip. “Dalton doesn’t give us money. He’s got a principle: everyone should earn their own life”, confessed Oksana’s mother.
Oskana expects nothing from Dalton
Everyone knows Dalton had passionate affairs with Brook Shields and Elizabeth Taylor, and last 14 years before he met Oksana he had spent with an English actress Vanessa Redgrave. At first he did not want to believe he was the kid’s father. But then he even gave an interview, where for the first time spoke more about himself and not his creative work: “I felt what it means to be a father. Child helps to alter the vision of the world. Suddenly you realize that life is the most wonderful miracle on Earth”
Oksana’s mum has never denied her daughter lives with Dalton in a civil marriage with a contract. This contract states Dalton does only provide Oksana with current spendings, but should they part, she would unlikely receive anything. The child is much luckier: he is the successor of Dalton’s savings. However, American and British press claim there is no warning to teir family life. Dalton still works in TV series and sometimes in theatre. Oksana looks after the 6 years old son.
Reporters, regardless, wait for sensations from this family. It is known that two years ago Oksana’s sister came to England too. Media answers its own “why?”: “To find another James Bond for herself”

I assume this was a translation from Russian. Sounded like a Russian trying to speak english. Funny they kept calling Timothy Dalton James Bond.
Also, Oksana looks different in the pictures. Granted, she was younger but it seems like she has had some work done since.

THis article is a classic. I love the slant it gives--like an amateur puff piece. So easy to read between the lines: for instance, obvious that she took up with her employer's son in England and then used used used him for all his connections. Yup, she's a piece of work. But no one deserves the emotional and physical beating that Mel gave her.
I have been reading other sites including the news sites and I have to agree with Alice, its VERY pro Mel and anti Oksana. They all seem to believe that Mel was set up (anyone else ever been in an argument on the phone and politely wait for the other person to finish before continuing your rant?) and that Oksana had extortion in mind from the beginning. I see that Robin says he never hit her (his wife of 30 years) yet all the sudden beats this one -- and no more have crawled out of the woodwork to jump on the bandwagon? If you abuse one, you abuse others. I realized this when I worked with battered women. I just have the feeling this is her idea of ruining him because he didn't marry her and she didn't get half his property.

RQ, I think that's likely, but I think there's a small chance he didn't hit her and the tapes were manipulated to make it sound like he admitted it, so I'm reserving judgment until the police investigate.

I am getting confused about why people are questioning whether the tapes were manipulated. Even if they are, he still said some horrible, hateful things. That alone should convince people that he is a rabid, hate-filled person. I guess, however, people have very short memories. How many years ago did he spew his anti-Semitism? What a disgusting person. Perhaps the cops manipulated that situation, too.

Now with Gibson, it's been reported that she signed an agreement with him that if anything happened between them that she wouldn't receive any money from him but the baby would be taken care of. Once again, any court would have done that for her...it's called child support. Two major stars where she could have gotten a good chunk of change off of and she didn't. That's really ironic that Pravda posted this interview, because that was main communist newspaper where they have been slamming America, capitalism etc. for about 70 years. They also slammed young people who were listening to Beatles or wore jeans or shared democratic views.

i still stand by what i said before. it IS entirely possible that he may not have been abusive years ago, but the money, power and booze combined with a likely early onset dementia/alzheimers (and quite possibly bi-polarism that may have been around a long time).

I've worked for a domestic violence agency too and based on the audio tape that I've heard Mel is definitely an abuser. Just because Robyn won't admit that he abused her and her children doesn't mean he never verbally abused them.
In regards to Whoopi I wonder if she has slept with Mel Gibson as she admitting to cheating before and obviously has no respect for monogamous relationships.
And as far as Oksana is concerned, now that I'm educated on the "kept woman rules" I really don't care if she was with Mel for his money. This is a very common agreement between men and attractive women just like reality show participants are the new "celebrities". I read somewhere that a lot of this media "Mel didn't do it" came from an 'expert' psychologist who went on record that because Mel hadn't hit his ex-wife or kids, there is no way he hit Oksana because it doesn't fit the pattern. The 'expert' said that in domestic violence, someone who hits their family would also be hitting other people and it would be obvious. This scares me that someone would generalize a case in this way. Disgusting.
...oh and not to mention it's complete horseshit! Domestic violence doesn't have a set pattern that is followed. That is irresponsible journalism.

THE JUDGE making the descisions on Mel and Oksana's case said "If a man is violent with one woman, he's likely to be violent with all the women in his life."
Judge Gordon considers himself knowlegable because he was a domestic violence prosecutor.
I went over and read the original Pravda article - this is the most literal piece of translation I've ever seen and SO confusing.
She looks SO much more Russian without all the terrible plastic surgery and to be honest, none of this surprises me. There are lots of women in Russia like this, which really annoys me but I don't know, I think it's something to do with the old intelligentsia.
This whole situation is so suspect, in terms of Oksana. Was there any doubt that she was a gold digger in the first instance? Now she is a victim and has the sympathy of everyone, so she wins, I suppose. Manipulatig a situation sounds about right.
I don't think people realize just how hard life in the Ukraine was during those years (and still is for many). Of course many young women would dream of coming to the USA to escape a life of poverty! Wouldn't you? Oksana sounds to me like she was actually a naive romantic who kept chasing after the "perfect" Hollywood relationship/lifestyle (like they imagine from the movies they see back home).
If Oksana was truly calculating and opportunistic, she would have hired a good lawyer to get her a large financial settlement from Timothy Dalton (rather than just child support).
Just a note on the "Mel-supporters". There are rumors out there that a whole bunch of new IDs popped up on the 5-10 top gossip sites and all these new IDs are mainly active in the defence of Mel.. not much posting on other topics. i wish i remember where i read it - but it seems this could be a damage control situation spinned by Mel's people.
