I love the song Pumped Up Kicks - I haven't listened to the rest of their album, but if it all sounds like that though, it may get a little tired.

The song Barbara Streisand - Duck Sauce is a weird song. I listen alot to KidsPlaceLive because of my kids and KPL "changed it". So now I prefer the Lorenzo Llama - Duck Sauce. They took a goofy song and made it actually kinda funny.

I can't believe people nominated "Firework." It's literally one of the most insipid songs of all time.

Someone owed Chris Brown's publicist or manager a favor, they've totally set him up to win, which means we'll get another "see, I'm back" speech. In a way, this is great, because every time he talks he sticks his foot further in. He'll say something like "see, I didn't deserve NONE of that shit y'all put me through" which will ignite the web. Dumbass. In other news... it's terribly seeing these "rock" categories and realizing that this is the best they can do because it's all about (c)rap now. Ugh.

I think it's interesting that Eddie Vedder went folk. I am rooting for Gillian Welch, though.
I also think it's weird that Kanye has gotten so many accolades. Outside of a few public appearances (and the VS fashion show the other night), you don't hear his music much out here in middle America. The Grammy's do kind of stay with old standby acts, so maybe it should be more surprising that some of the newer acts have worked their ways in to the nominations.

Jessica, I also read the 'Rock' category and nearly choked on my breakfast. At least put AC/DC in there, give yourself a modicum of respectability in the category. Where are the new Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC? We have no rock. When I go to the gym they have the music channel on and I catch up with all the latest acts. Yesterday when I went, every song sounded the same! All were bland, less than middle of the road pop folksy stuff that was sending me to sleep. I now wish to utilise my iPhone properly so I can have my own music.
Finally, go Adele because I love your voice, and go Taylor Swift because you are the only artist who wrote your song entirely on your own.
Katy Perry's sole purpose is to release songs that will subsequently be performed better by the cast of Glee, especially Darren Criss. Honestly, I think that is part of why she got nominated.

No, record and song of the year are for individual songs, album is for the whole CD.
I love Adele. 21 is a really good reacord too. Now, if you want to be surprised, go and watch some Adele interviews on YouTube. Her music might make you cry, but she is HILARIOUS. Search for the "wardrobe malfunction" story. I kind of love it.
1. Sum 41 and Foo Fighters are NOT hard rock or metal.
2. Adele & Mumford and Sons deserve to win every category they're nominated for.
3. Since when has any awards show given acclaim where credit is due? Grammys are no different.
