Paulina Rubio & Kelly Rowland Going To Be X Factor Judges

As I told you last week, despite all the female names being bandied about for X Factor judges, the only ones going to be picked by Simon Cowell were going to be the single ones, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio. Lo and behold those will be the two judges you see with Demi Lovato when the show begins airing. Despite Paulina being one of the least liked people in the music industry and I have yet to meet anyone who likes her who has met her, she is being hired. I think she and Demi will hate each other and the relationship will sour within a month and would honestly, not be surprised if the two come to blows at some point in the season.

Well Kelly already had Richard Branson so I am sure he put in a good word with Simon. But WTH is up with picking PR?!??! She has not been relevant in American or Latin markets in a minute.... Yeah he definitely wants to hit it.

I knew there was a reason I never liked Paulina! Now that I know no one in the industry does, I can dislike her more! Too bad she's going to be judging my friend this season.

@Cathy Paulina Rubio is a Mexican singer. To me, she and another Mexican singer, Thalia, are like the Madonna's of Mexico. Old hags that don't know when to stop dressing like they're in their 20s.

Me too, I love Kelly. I don't have many music artists that I buy everything they release, but she's one.
Also never have heard a negative word about her as a person. I admit I've never heard a good word about Paulina either. I have a feeling there will be a few blow ups this season.

I can believe Paulina Rubio is a class A bitch, but to her defence, she's been on stage since she was 6. If the goal is to tutor the people and bring in the audiences (with drama), she might be a good choice

@Mari Agreed! She's one of the few artists I admire as a person. Her interviews seem so sweet and genuine, not to mention she's super talented.

I don't know much about Paulina's reputation ...maybe they hired her just for the drama and cattiness?

I'm thinking you're right, like Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. (Which is a shame because I really felt they looked foolish with all that drama.) I guess they hope, like Enty said that Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio are like oil and water, we can guarantee that Ms Rowland is far to classy to get involved in fighting!

Paulina Rubio is crazier than Ashley Judd.
For instance: She was invited to an interview show inside a building Jimmy Fallon style. She said that she wouldn't go unless she was allowed to have her dog with her all the time. The show had to agree and was the only time you could see an animal there.
Every interview of her I watch makes me think she is nuts.

Paulina Rubio had a hit that was also a latin hit as well as in the u.s a few years back. Had a smoking body, but kind of had that snotty, nasally, yelling for the help, rich bitch, my s$%t doesnt stink, kind of attitude in an episode of cribs I watched. Simon's Harem indeed. Do you think he'd be bothered if they fought? Probably be good for ratings, it certainly spiced up Idol.

hate her.. i think they tried to do the latin thing like the voice with shakira but shakira is world famous and more talented and smarter and just at least seems like a much nicer person ... paulina rubio, not so much

Kelly did the X Factor UK so she has some experience with it. Could care less about the other one. Just a panel of bland, boring and please don't fire me this is my only gig and Simon the real 'stah' of the show.

Glad Simon got the harem he wanted so badly. I will not watch this show just like I never watched the last 2 seasons.

I didn't know who Paulina was either and now that I do have no desire to watch her. Big mistake to hire someone that half the country doesn't know. This will be the end for the show.

I hate to think of Demi sleeping with Simon for her gig. It gives me the sads. I feel so sorry for her.

Was Simon one of the guesses for the blind last week about someone beating his girlfriends and always letting them know up front. I can't remember the specifics but I wouldn't put something like that past Simon.

Idol had its lowest ratings ever this past season, so that whole fake drama thing really helped them. No one watched X Factor last year, no one will watch it this year either. The Voice is going to start slipping next year too, I bet. They've had 3 winners, but no one with Kelly Clarkson type sales, so what's the point?

I don't get it. The x factor I believe performs the worst out of the three singing competition shows, and to counter this, they pick two people who have been unsuccessful in the American music scene? I like Kelly, but Paulina is a failure. I remember watching het video on TRL, along with Anastasia and Thalia, and just KNOWING they wouldn't be successful.
