Blind Items Revealed

October 3, 2013

This show runner not named Shonda for an ABC show says he hates his show more than any show on air and can't wait until its canceled. Lucky for him his show does awful and no one likes it so it shouldn't be too long.

Lucky 7 (got their wish. canceled yesterday)

A checks a check bitch. That being said, I've never even heard of this show.

I kinda liked it.

And I wanted to know who voted 'no'.

The British original was really good but I couldn't get into this one. Too bad for all the staff though.

He actually put an obvious clue in the blind, that seems rare here. (The word lucky).

Looking at the entire cast list and never heard of anyone before. No wonder why no one watched it whatever it was.

It's interesting...there was another show a few years ago about a group of lottery winners; does anyone remember? I think it starred Luke Perry. Anyway, it died a quick death too. What is it about watching other people win money that is such a turnoff to viewers?

I actually liked the show and missed last weeks show. I would like if they at least play the remaining episodes to wrap up the show. How did this show that had two million tune in is off the air after only two episodes but the kartrashians have 1.7 mil and are still on the air. This show was destined to be doomed before it even began.

I think the other lottery show was called Windfall. I watched the first episode and couldn't get into it. When this show came out I wondered why they were trying the same thing again when it failed the first time not long ago.

Who was the show runner?

sandybrook said...

@skimpymist 2 million viewers on ABC because it is a network is a complete disaster while 1.7 on a cable network like E! (which is garbage) is cause for celebration

Thanks Anothergray, I've always wondered that too.

A showrunner is a person who handles the day-to-day tv series operations. Most are also writer-producers, co-creators, creaters, and executive producers. They are accountable for managing things like budgets, story continuity, making sure episodes are delivered on time. They can be the liason between the networks and talent, their mgmt. Think Shonda, Kurt Sutter, Vince G, Joss Whedon.

Thank you @di butler. I guess it's the person who "runs the show".
