I think she's gorgeous and a great actress, but has daddy issues. Her father left the family when she was little, and mom (a white woman) raised her and her sister on her own. Halle has publicly said it was "painful" and that she chose to live as a black woman because that's how she knew she'd be perceived.
Oddly enough, Halle's life seems to come in fours. Her parents were divorced when she was four, her marriages to David Justice and Eric "Sex Addict" Benet both lasted four years, she dated Aubrey for a little over four years.

I thought that too, but history speaks for itself. That Gabriel Aubry mess made me a believer.
Another thing that gave me pause about Halle was that she adopted Eric's daughter formally, then abandomed her after the divorce. It's not like he could bar her from seeing the child since she became a legal guardian.
India is an adult now, and was tweeting some interesting stuff after the Halle/Gabriel custody battle. She seemed to imply that Halle made her dad a scapegoat when their marriage didn't work out, she painted an ugly picture so she could play the victim again.,

Halle never adopted Eric's daughter. She would always say how much she loved India and that she was going to adopt her but never took steps to do so. India did call her Mommy and Halle did treat her well but when she filed for divorce, she cut India totally out of her life and hasn't spoken to her since. Halle is a cold, heartless bitch with serious mental issues. India is lucky to be rid of her and to have grown up without her.
As for Martinez, he's learning why no man can stay with this crazy bitch for long. When she decides to end their marriage and starts planting stories about how violent he is and how she is so afraid of him, he'll be lucky if his career survives. This woman is cray cray.
Thank goodness Nahla has an escape from all the crazy. I'm sure that's why Gabriel fought so hard, against Halle's greater fire power, to maintain joint custody.
Funny how Nahla looks nothing like Halle. Funny we haven't seen an photos of Manx, or Max or Rocco or what the name of child 2 is.

Eric Benet was asked directly in an interview a few years ago, and he confirmed there was no adoption, and no Halle didn't stay in touch with India.

I don't think she legally adopted her. She sure had lots of pap shots with India and then nothing after she kicked Eric to the curb. I saw him in an interview and he was asked if Halle maintained her relationship with India after the divorce and he wouldn't answer the question. I was so hoping he'd spill the beans!
What did he expect? Halle is craycray and all he exes have unanimously said so.
I was wondering who this was ....thought Halle was too obvious, but there you go. What a temper tantrumy, self obsessed person she is. The longer she goes untreated it seems the worst her behaviour becomes. As long as she is in glee in the victim role, she will never have the capacity to even accept her personality disorders.

Sounds like poetic justice to me. Isn't Olivier the one who got into a huge fight with Halle's previous boyfriend at her house and did him some serious damage? Wonder if he's now rethinking his decision to shove the other guy out of Halle's life.
@JoeInLA When they had a common enemy, Gabriel, the relationship was hunky-dory. Gabriel was the source of all conflict. What I can't figure is how Martinez got roped into this mess and became committed to Halle's Crazy Universe. His beating of Gabriel was so fucking personal. Maybe they exchanged French insults, but Martinez was defending Halle's vision of her victimhood. Surely Martinez has quite a lot of experience with women, so why ride Halle's roller coaster of complete paranoic control? Maybe Martinez is an imbecile underneath the purdy. I still don't get it...though I get why he ultimately left.
