A few years ago this foreign born A list mostly movie actress who is a multiple Golden Globe nominee/winner was about to get married. She ended up getting married, but not before she spent two nights with this A+ list mostly movie actor who had not quite reached the A+ list peak he is at now. He still has not married, but does have kid(s).

it is simple - they come in a limo and jump on the yacht. they will stay on for days. there is no arm candy flashing on red carpets. hustling is hidden. some have one person to please, some stay below deck and take care of who is sent down.
depending on schedules they are transferred to other yachts outside the port, where they join so there can be some real business meetings. some then are exchanged for a night or two.
when the big names on both sides are involved, there is a chopper shuttle - direct via airport to the yaht.
nothing to observe when you are not on the yaht. Those not booked are behaving like on any other red carpet. You don´t want to be in cannes. you want to be on the yaht for a while. :-)
there is a lot of footage, but the journalists exchanged them for being allowed to partake for a month or so. much better than the trespassing and whatever they were almost sued for.
eventually some will surface.

I just said Salma and ? before I read the answers carefully enough. Colin is certainly A+ but has been for a long time. Gosling and Krazinski have never made it to A+ and never will imho.
Colin and Salma make a pretty pair but I do like her husband, little that I know about him and Oh, the endless frocks!
travelled round south of france end of may last year and caught the last day or so of the festival -had a good look around for yacht girls but it was eerily quiet. then a week later went to st tropez and hey ho, who's on a yacht but nina dobrev and jessica schzor (sp?) and some other girl with some middle eastern looking types!
