You have to give him credit for trying to save his marriage. This A+ list mostly movie actor has been attending multiple AA meetings each day. I don’t know how good it will do though once he is back shooting away from the wife and kids. He refuses to have a sober companion.

-That's called goin' thru the motions so you can feel better about yourself by convincing yourself & others that you did everything/put your all into saving this marriage.
...not to mention that Ben's hit the Jackpot at L.A. & Brentwood AA & getting more telephone numbers than what he knows what to do with at these Meetings...(and I ain't talking potential Sponsors' digits)
Well.. I uh tried judge, but you know normal socializing with co-workers and the bosses is a major part of my job..!? In all fairness these AA meetings kept me alert to dangers of over indulging.. and I managed to gently speak out on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse to others in a non confrontational manner!
You know, I think JLo would be good for him, actually. She won't care WTF he's doing as long as he shows up looking sharp to red carpets & interviews. They're both pros.
I think he drank and gambled because he was unhappy in his marriage. I'm sure part of him is relieved that it's finally over.
Or maybe he drinks, gambles and screws around because he can. All the benjen blinds are revealed..whatever will take their place?? (And please, no c list cable/rapper/model that no one's heard of..)
Noooo @ Lila, Ben Affleck had a serious drinking problem & other issues waaaaay BEFORE Jennifer Garner got ahold of him.Remember, he went to 3 Rehabs, most recent was PROMISES ,before Jen Garner
His drinking issues are because of Jho, Garner was who got him clean & sober.

His drinking issues are because he drinks. He seems a textbook addictive personality that can move from liquor to gambling to whatever. Testing the relationship over and over because I don't deserve it until it inevitably breaks down. I think he's a smart and talented guy and I think he loves his family and he's his own worst enemy.
