Blind Items Revealed #16

SNL Anniversary Show

This former almost headliner from the show who moved on to movies and controversy too was treated like a pariah at the show. He should have been a much bigger part given his past, but wasn’t. They could not not invite him but he was treated like he wasn’t. Everyone kept making jokes about his wife and her implants and other medical jokes.

What's the story? Why doesn't anyone from SNL like Rob Schneider? Someone spill!

Well that's classy. Don't like someone? Make fun of their spouse. I too would like to know what this controversy was. Even Adam Sandler abandoned him, didn't he?

short and sweet answer--he's a dick.

I just found out Elle King is his daughter (she sings that popular exes on ohs song)

It had something to do with him being anti-vax, which I don't how that would affect the show.

It has everything to do with him publicly criticizing the democratic party and how they have fucked up california and becoming a republican.

Lorne Michaels is the daddy and they follow him in lock step, choosing who to hate. Bet no one made fun of his trophy wife.

Texasrose, that wouldn't surprise me at all if that's the reason. SNL used to be pretty evenhanded in ridiculing politicians, but they have become so overtly partisan, that, on top of the mostly bad material these days, the show has become excruciating to watch. And I'm still a registered Democrat.

Tina Fey even publicly shit on him asking why is Rob S. in movie and Tracy Morgan wasn't (this was pre-accident).

If Tina and Lorne don't like you don't expect VIP seating at the Anniversary show.

Jim Breuer even said he wasn't sure he was going to be able to get in with his wife. They eventually let them sit together. That show was all about pecking order.

Tina Fey is funny about what she chooses to defend and get offended about. She didn't have much to say about Tracy's infamous anti-gay rant, and she had nothing at all to say about Dr. Brandt's suicide after he was directly and viciously lampooned on Kimmy Schmidt.

Whether or not the sketch had anything to do with a doctor that had done nothing to anyone, it would have been classy for Tina, as a head writer and producer of said show, to at least have made a public expression of sympathy. I was a huge fan of 30 Rock and I used to love her, but I have lost a lot of respect for her.

Tina said that about Jan Hooks, not Tracy Morgan.

Rob isn't a Republican, dear. He is a granola anti-vaxxer with Green Party sensibilities. A nice guy, just always a little out of step with life, looking for acceptance. He has been a bit more difficult, the last couple of years, tho.

Well then he must have really pissed someone off because they put a blurb in his Wiki page saying he joined the republican party and blasted the california democratic party. It hasn't been changed and that would be a career killer for an actor.
