This actor is going to be tough to get. A B-/C+ lister at his peak and that was in his last role in a war television show which he was on for three seasons. He did have an acting brother who has Tarantino and Seinfeld in his resume. Anyway, our B-/C+ lister was one of the worst abusers that Hollywood has seen. Both his wife and child were frequent visitors to hospital emergency rooms for the beatings he dished out to them but he was never arrested. The child was taken from the home a few times for her safety.

First off, it's Tierney. Secondly, he was never in a war television show. He had a brother that was on a lot of television shows.

Also, per IMDB (he doesn't have a Wiki page), Ed Tierney didn't have a daughter ("The child was taken from the home a few times for her safety.") but he did have 2 sons.

Was he The Whiz on Seinfeld?
No but his brother, Lawrence Tierney, played Elaine's dad. Supposedly they were going to make him a recurring role but he stole a knife from the set and later pulled it on Jerry Seinfeld.
