This could almost be called a kindness. This former comic turned actress turned talk show host had this A+ list mostly movie actor on her show recently. Apparently he was a little nervous about going on the show and was hiding out in his car at the studio. Our talk show host went up to his car, tapped on the window and passed him a shot of tequila and drank one herself. Apparently that broke the ice and he went in to do the show.

+1 Tricia for Leo D. He was on a couple weeks ago but that's recent.He repeated how nervous he was a couple times(kind of cute). Clooney is due on soon maybe tomorrow and they tape ahead probs. But he doesn't fit akward part don't think. Plus they are friends, he wouldn't be hiding in limo!

Georges new movie is said to be a dud (even though it is a Cohen Brothers film) and maybe he is nervous talking about his weird marriage...not that Ellen asks any hard-hitting questions....EVER...

and they ARE afraid....I saw Halle Berry on her show once--prob the biggest name Wendy has had. I liked Halle a little bit more after seeing her on and she admitted she watched Wendy everyday...

Gotta be ellen..and probably gave klooney a shot of his own stuff..I remember years ago she had this huge campaign to get him on her show and he wouldn't do it..but he's always just done the same old mugging, aw shucks crap on talk shows, so I don't get the nerves
Di Caprio almost never does TV interviews. Maybe he's nervous about live appearances.
I would qualify this as common courtesy, not kindness. You wanna chat with someone, buy/offer them a drink

Thats what I was gonna say. At this point in Leo's career, he doesnt need to do interviews (unless its a junket or something for a magazine that isnt taped). The only reason he is doing them recently is his Best Actor push. He never does tv, late night interviews - anything.
I understand his nervousness. Its kind of funny considering he;s one of the biggest actors in the world.
Don't forget Leo's a high school dropout. Maybe even a middle school dropout. He's probably insecure about what he says in public. Every time he makes a public statement, it's obvious a speechwriter has written it all out for him and he's reading it or memorized it.
Doing live TV can be a minefield and God knows he wants that Oscar and is afraid of a last-minute slip-up.

I agree with Leo guesses. He doesn't do daytime, or even talk shows, all that much. And Ellen's show is probably a bit out of his comfort zone. I'm sure his appearance was to appeal to Academy voters, so he did it.
definately Clooney...cuz Ellen knows his whole hetero act is a a game.
