Hi ya @Salaam.... Lin -Manual wrote the book, song and lyrics but it was directed by Thomas Kail(maybe this is him for blind , dunno what the political fundraising is meaning....the show was staggering and beyond! He kinda deserves a hell of a vacation I'd say lol...

A+ in the theater world only. Not A+ or close to public. I would bet that 95% or even higher of public would have no idea who this was by name only.
As if the DNC didn't have enough money already. Fuck them. And it wasn't a vacation, they asked him to come in on his day off.
He's on vacation now, which is what it says ("now on vacation")
It's not just him, of course. He'd probably gladly have made an appearance somewhere. But getting full cast and crew - who are unionized for reasons like this - to give up their one day off in 14 is a BFD.
