Candy Spelling Says Tori Has Plenty of Money

Candy Spelling was on The Talk yesterday and said that Tori Spelling has plenty of money. Tori likes to pretend she doesn't have any money and that is why she is forced to do things like reality television. Tori does reality television because no one with any sense would hire her to actually act in anything. She loves being famous and on television and loves the attention. Candy listed all of the ventures that Tori has going for her and says the pair text everyday and Candy would know if Tori really was broke. Plus, Candy said that she wouldn't let her daughter or grand kids be broke and has already bought them one house and would buy them another if needed. Candy says she doesn't watch much of Tori's new show but that the hospital portion was real because she visited Tori in the hospital and also suffers from migraines like Tori. I think most of the time Tori deals with her migraines like the rest of us at home, but since the cameras were there and filming, why not go ahead and just admit yourself to the hospital. It fills up an entire episode of the show and she gets even more attention from the doctors and nurses.

Candy Spelling Wins $90K At Slots - But Do The Math

Yesterday when I read about Candy Spelling winning $90K while playing slots in Vegas and her other big wins of $200K and $180K I thought that is pretty impressive. But you know what? It really is not all that impressive. First of all she only has three big wins in four years of playing. Plus, it is not like she is playing quarter or dollar slots. Candy is playing slots ranging from $100 to $1000. Many people will put in $100 into a dollar slot machine. Sometimes you make your $100 back, but most of the time you don't. So, if Candy put $100K into a slot machine when she goes or even assuming she plays the $100 slots, then $10,000 a time, and you only have three wins to show for it in four years, then that is not that great of a return. It is not like she is only going once a year and pulling the lever once.

Candy loves to win and when you are worth $600M, everything is relative. Speaking of relatives, can you imagine having Dean as your son-in-law. Do you think he looks at her and wonders when she is going to leave everything to him. Oh, and Tori.

Candy Spelling Is A Waste Of Space

In what seems to be now a weekly feature I have found another person in Hollywood is really a waste of space. This week's waste is Candy Spelling. You may know Candy better as Tori's mom and the widow of Aaron Spelling who created a vast wasteland of mindless television but was not a waste of space. We need mindless television. I fear what my Saturday nights would have been like were it not for Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Anyway, you may recall that Candy was sued by a former maid. The maid alleged that Candy was a very cheap employer and that Wal-Mart would send out executives to her house to take tips from her.

The lawsuit was settled last week and apparently the maid didn't get a lot of money, but Candy or one of her people had the following statement.

"Maybe in maid money it's a lot."

Really? I was literally f**king speechless when I read that. Maid money? Whether this was Candy or one of her friends who said this, they probably all believe it. You married a guy and got rich. The end. That makes you better than everyone else? If you work hard and make your own money then unless you are Joe Francis I think that is a great accomplishment. If your only claim to money is by marrying someone or being born to money then you are lucky and in no way gives you right to talk smack about anyone. Maid money? Wait until the maids read this and see how well you sleep at night or how good your food tastes or any other way they can make your life miserable. You make me f**kin sick and you or your blue haired friend need to apologize.

Candy Spelling Getting Her Own Show

Candy Spelling is getting her very own television show. In an interview she gave to Radar Online she said that she would be getting her own television show but that she really couldn't talk about it much because it is top secret. Uh huh. Yeah, it is right up there with the nuclear codes. Although Candy has consistently bad mouthed Tori Spelling for her show and exploiting her two kids by using them as props, Candy sees no issues starring on her own show. Why? "The show will be scripted. I wouldn't do a reality show."

Oh, burn on Tori. Yes, because Candy was married to the man who brought us such wonderful writing as The Love Boat Candy wouldn't stoop low enough to do reality. Of course just because it is reality doesn't mean it isn't scripted. Hello The Hills.

I guess she means like an actual real show. You know it will probably be about a woman who was married to a legend and has an evil daughter and a son you never see. Each week Candy will break away long enough from staring at her jewels and living alone in her $45M home to save the world from destruction.

Isn't Candy Doing To Tori What Tori Is Doing To Her Kids?

Over the weekend Candy Spelling sent an e-mail to TMZ. In the e-mail she slammed Tori Spelling for using her children as reality show props. She also called Tori middle aged which I found very funny for some reason.

"MIDDLE-AGED REALITY SHOW STARS (LIKE MY DAUGHTER),"

"A big party wasn't how I envisioned meeting my granddaughter for the first time; but, hey, this is Hollywood, and my grandchildren have become reality show props, too. At the time I emailed 'yes,' I didn't realize I was being set up for a two-[part episode], even though it was clear I was being invited to be part of a segment for my daughter's reality show. I decided my first meeting with my granddaughter should be on home video, not primetime cable; so I e-mailed that I would not be attending."

But by sending this e-mail to TMZ isn't Candy Spelling using the fame of her daughter to increase her own fame? Isn't she exploiting Tori? She knows that by sending this e-mail that she would get some publicity and sell a few more books and create more conflict and drama. She is doing it at the expense of Tori and her grandchildren. This invite thing is old news but she is bringing it back to the surface just so she can get a little bit more out of it and really drive a nail into the relationship she has with her daughter.

"My husband taught me that the plots have to be fresh and updated. The same old whining gets tired after a while. Enough complaining about what may or may not have happened during first grade or YMCA camp, or what vegetable you were forced to endure, especially when you are privileged enough to be on TV and get paid for it... Life isn't just a show. Make your own season finale without creating conflicts you will regret later."

I love how Candy reminds the world she was married to Aaron Spelling and thus we should take what she is saying about television seriously. I love people who name drop their dead relatives as if this somehow gives them some kind of magical knowledge the rest of us don't have. As for regretting conflicts in the future I think that ship has pretty much sailed. This relationship is just one big conflict and I don't see it going away anytime soon. I actually think Candy is a little jealous of Tori and the fact that Tori was able to turn her career around. When she started the show she didn't have kids and so the exploitation of them didn't come until later seasons. I think I am going to have to be on Team Tori for this one. Won't happen often, but this time I am.

More Tori & Candy Drama

Why can't either Candy or Tori Spelling just pick up the damn phone and call each other? You know why? Because then there wouldn't be any drama both of these women love the drama and the special kind of attention that goes with drama. In the latest episode, Tori incited Candy to come to Stella's first birthday party. According to Tori's people (read Dean), Candy knew that the Oxygen people would be there and even had the photo releases sent over to Candy's house a week in advance. At some point, Candy decided she wanted to make sure she wouldn't be on camera and Tori agreed.

Now, according to Candy's people (read butler), Candy found out that Oxygen was going to be there filming and all she really wanted was a private meeting with her daughter and granddaughter and that wasn't going to be possible with all of the cameras around. She wanted to meet Steel and see Tori but because Tori insisted on having the cameras there it just wasn't going to happen.

Meanwhile, Tori was sitting by the front door all day waiting for her mom to show up because no one told her mom wasn't coming. It turns out mom sent and e-mail about an hour before the party, but Tori didn't see it until after the party.

This thing is just all for show right now. They both know they could end it in a second but the drama and the fighting and the attention keep them going and going and going.

Tori Spelling Killed Her Father

I had really thought that Candy and Tori Spelling had started to get things straight between the two of them. Obviously I was wrong. In an escalation of their feud to biblical proportions, Candy Spelling now says that Tori was the reason Aaron Spelling died. In an interview with Massachusetts radio station WMAS 94.7, Candy said, "My daughter one day decided that she wasn't speaking to my husband, myself and my son, and that's how it's continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years. And it was sad, that's what killed my husband, actually. He just didn't want to live after that. He [had] just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn't do anything for her."

So if I read this right Candy is saying that the only reason Tori even cared about her dad was when he could do things for her, pay her bills and get her roles. When he couldn't get her roles anymore because she can't act and he had used up all his favors, she stopped talking to him. Nice. You really don't find this level of family hatred outside of holiday gatherings. It just gives you a real warm and fuzzy feeling. I can't wait to see what happens when Tori takes her turn driving the bus.

Someone Is Lying, But I Don't Care

I can't wait until Candy and Tori Spelling each have their respective books come out. Then, hopefully we can stop this who is the bigger martyr competition in which they seem to be engaged. Last week Tori said she would love to have a relationship with her mother, but that her mother won't call or e-mail and blah, blah, blah. Tori tries and tries to be a good daughter and wants a relationship with her mom for the sake of the grandkids blah, blah blah.

Well yesterday it was Candy Spelling's day to carry the cross and she said that she has called, texted, and e-mailed but Tori never calls her back, blah, blah, blah so Candy took to her own website to write a note to Tori because she knows Tori reads her site. So, even though she wants to work it out privately she has no choice if she wants to be a good mom, blah, blah, blah.

Candy did plug Tori's book for her which was nice. She said Tori's book comes out Tuesday and so then it will be even harder to get along. Yeah, well maybe they can kiss and make up and write a book together and make a really bad made for tv movie together. Those are the specialty of Tori. Obviously someone is lying in all of this and hasn't really tried to contact the other, but I honestly don't care. The only thing that would make me take notice is if Tori finally kicks Dean out or if Dean is doing Candy.
