Michael Vick Book Tour Canceled

Due to numerous threats received by Michael Vick and the publisher of his new book, Michael Vick has canceled several of his book signing events. Apparently people are ticked off about the whole dog fighting thing and how Michael has a new dog that can easily be trained into a killer and is used by the military for that purpose. The threats were made to Michael and his family and the retailers who sell the book and the publisher. Not to the dog though. Apparently his purchase of the dog has really set people off. I never think threats of violence or violence is a good thing, but I am glad Michael is not going to get to profit as much off the dogs he killed.

Michael Vick Didn't Get A Lap Dog

A few months ago Michael Vick as forced to admit he had purchased a dog. You know, for his kids. They missed having one around the house. Because of his past convictions and brutalization of dogs, you would think he would get a quiet breed. You know, because it is for the kids. Nope. Instead, Vick got a Belgian Malinois. Those are the dogs that the military uses because they are so tough. You know, because Michael's kids wanted that.

Do You Want A Naked Photo Of Michael Vick?

I think the woman who is attempting to sell full frontal photos of Michael Vick needs to realize a couple of things. Number one is that outside of Philadelphia, I still think most people just remember him for killing dogs and nothing else. Has he had a good year? Yes. Did the Eagles pay him a ton of money to play quarterback? Absolutely. Do I still think of him as a dog killer first? Everyday.

So, right there the woman has a limited market for the full frontal photos from the neck down of Vick. Second, most sites don't want naked pictures of male athletes. You could offer a site a photo of pretty much any female public figure and it would be snapped up, but unless Michael has something down there that is worth a couple of bucks, she is just not going to have much luck and would probably have more fun just starting a website, posting the photo and explaining how it came to be that the night before a game, Michael was staying up and texting her naked photos of himself. Oh, and why he was doing that if he is engaged to be married. To a tabloid, her story is worth more than the photos. Although, unless Vick has been cheating on his girlfriend with more than say, three or four women, then again, been there done that.

Michael Vick - A Shooting Suspect

Michael Vick, the a-hole quarterback who went to jail for dog fighting can't seem to stay out of trouble. At a party to celebrate his birthday this weekend, there was some gunfire and a person who was a co-defendant in his dog fighting trial got shot. Hmmm.

The first reports were that Michael Vick left prior to the shooting. Now though, it may be that Vick left right after the shooting and police who interviewed him earlier this week have not ruled him out as a suspect in the shooting.

Michael Vick Got A Job - Pink Isn't Happy

For the past few weeks I would watch the news wires everyday and pray that my favorite football team wouldn't sign Michael Vick. I didn't want my team to be known as the one who did sign him. No reporter all year will ask any question without asking about Michael Vick. No story about the team will be without a reference to Michael Vick. So, it was with great relief yesterday that I saw he signed with the Eagles. Except of course for the fans of Philadelphia. All year when you tell people that you are a fan of the Eagles, they will invariably say, "Oh, you are the team that gave that dog killer a job."

It won't matter how well the team does, all the conversation will be about Michael Vick. As an owner it shows that you really don't care about your fans. I have not read the Philadelphia papers this morning, but I can't imagine there are too many positive articles. Pink, who is from Philadelphia had this to say on her Twitter.

"wow. michael vick in MY hometown, Philly. of all the places. I hope the fans tear him to pieces like his beloved dogs."

It's a possibility.

Michael Vick Gets Out Of Jail And Goes To Strip Club

Michael Vick, the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback who has spent the past several years in jail for his part in a dog fighting ring was released Monday from jail. So how did he spend his first week? Well, he didn't go to any pet stores or breeders. Can I just say that what he did to those dogs was some of the most outrageous cruelty I have ever seen. It makes me sick to think about it. OK, back to the post. Vick who really wants to play in the NFL again is supposed to be taking this week to do good things and show the world he has changed and can make good decisions. There is no guarantee he will ever be allowed to play in the NFL again, and if Monday night is an indication of that decision making he will be spending a whole lot of years doing nothing.

Just 12 hours after he got out of custody, Vick was spotted in a Virginia Beach strip club with NBA player Allen Iverson and Allen's wife. Apparently they wanted to show Vick a good time and so the best place to take him would be a strip club. Hey, strip clubs are legal and I realize he was in custody for a very long time. But, the fact is that he wants to play in the NFL again and I guess he thinks it is going to be some automatic thing because I can't imagine that he thinks it is a good idea to go spend time at a strip club when he is trying to get some of his reputation back.

He is an idiot. Go home and watch porn. Stare at women in the mall. I don't care if it is legal or not to go to a strip club. All it shows is that he doesn't care about his reputation and that he doesn't care about anything but himself. I predict that within a few years he will be back in jail for something. I don't think it will be dog fighting, but it will be something. When someone makes that bad of a decision a few hours after they get out of custody, it can only go downhill.

Michael Vick Just Keeps Digging A Bigger Hole

Michael Vick who is currently awaiting sentencing on federal charges related to his bankrolling of a dogfighting operation was indicted yesterday on state charges of beating or killing or causing dogs to fight other dogs and engaging in or promoting dogfighting.

The thing is the charges yesterday are just one drip to the flood that is his life now.

Turns out that Michael Vick is coping with his problems by smoking a little pot. The problem with that is he has mandatory drug testing as a part of his release while awaiting that federal sentencing.

Because of the result, U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson placed special conditions on Vick's release, including restricting him to his home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. with electronic monitoring and ordering him to submit to random drug testing.

The 27-year-old former Virginia Tech star was placed under pretrial release supervision by U.S. Magistrate Dennis Dohnal in July. The restrictions included refraining from use or unlawful possession of narcotic drugs or other controlled substances.

The random drug testing ordered Wednesday could include urine testing, the wearing of a sweat patch, a remote alcohol testing system or any form of prohibited substance screening or testing.

Hudson's order also requires Vick to participate in inpatient or outpatient substance therapy and mental health counseling, if the pretrial services officer or supervising officer deem it appropriate. Vick must pay for the treatment.

I am not going to defend Michael Vick, but if I was looking at as much jail time as he is, I might not say no to a little pharmaceutical help either. What can they do to him? Really, the only thing they can do is make him start serving his sentence sooner. Might as well do what you can now because once you get to jail, it's going to be a whole lot tougher to get hammered.
