Pink - Plymouth Pavilions - Plymouth, UK
Evanescence - Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - Bonner Springs, KS
Killers will be releasing an album in the US before the end of the year. The album will be made exclusively of B sides to singles released in other countries. The tentative song list includes "All the Pretty Faces" ("When You Were Young" B-side), movie soundtrack tunes "Shadowplay" (a Joy Division cover from Anton Corbijn's Ian Curtis biopic "Control") and "Move Away" ("Spider-man 3"), as well as a cover of Mel Tillis' "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town."
Morrissey is selling season tickets to his North American tour which kicks off September 20 in Tijuana Mexico. Morrissey is playing ten nights in LA at the Palladium and will offer fans tickets to all ten shows for the price of 9. An added benefit will allow fans early entry and a special poster. A similar plan will be offered for his 5 night run at NY's Hammerstein Ballroom. In other Smith's news, Morrissey recently turned down a $75M offer to tour with Johnny Marr under The Smith's name.

Velvet Revolver - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Lupe Fiasco - The Forum - Sydney
"Grease" Revival - Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York
Che'Nelle - EMI Building - New York
The Jesus And Mary Chain announce some US dates and a new album.
So Lilith Fair is no more, but for you new generations of lesbians and guys trying to impress your dates, there is Girlfrenzy. Girlfrenzy will take place October 27th in Irvine California. Headlining will be Sheryl Crow, Fiona Apple, and Avril Lavigne(wtf?) No word on whether the promoters will choose to invite Sarah McLachlan who made Lilith Fair possible. All I have to say is they better invite her, make her highly billed, and let her close the damn show with Sheryl. Show some respect people. Oh, and how about some Indigo Girls while you're at it.

Band Of The Day
Fay Aiyana is more known for her music in television and films singing in Gilmore Girls and Sin City Diaries, but is now striking out on her own with her very first record. In addition to her 4.5 octave range, I love Fay because she's also a giver. A portion of the money from every album she sells goes to UNICEF which is a charity near and dear to her heart, and mine as well.
Take a listen to her new CD, and if you would like to be the band of the day, e-mail me.

Chris Cornell - Beacon Theatre - New York
John Legend - Roseland Ballroom - New York
Michael Buble - Radio City Music Hall - New York
I just wanted to take a minute and say that if you are going to be in LA this weekend then you really need to try and attend this event. It's a one time event and brings together some of America's best contemporary poets. On Saturday night you will have the rare opportunity to see and hear them all in one place. After the performances there will be a a cocktail hour where you can have a chance to meet and talk with the poets. As an added bonus, if you even needed one, proceeds from the show go to the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Heart Association. You can buy tickets in advance here.
