I have no problem with her mourning. my issue is with the statement" alll women mourn forever" and the other generalization that all women need extensive counseling after . sorry but that just sounds likepro life rhetoric to me.

Just one thing that I'd like to point out about the HIV+ thing - HIV tests are a classic example in the field of statistics about misleading results. While testing positive for HIV is rare, you need to keep in mind that if someone tests positive, the probability that they actually do have HIV is less than 9%. This is why it is so important to do a second test to confirm the results - if someone tests positive twice, then you can be pretty sure that they do in fact have it. I wonder if at the time of this blind, maybe she put that she was HIV+ after testing positive the first time, but had yet to have a second test.

I'm with you @rawr. I couldn't care less that I did it. I surprised myself and only cried the night before but that was it. I am always secure and confident in every decision I make. I do it, it's done, I learned what I learned, and onto the next. If YOU need counseling fine, but don't think that I'm just like you and require the same thing. This is one of those things that we keep to ourselves but as u see, when one person spills her secret others chime in saying "me too" and then we realize we are all normal. It's like celebs with plastic surgery. Just admit it bc you all do it!!! Then you can have nice talks comparing experiences and offering advice. That is why I chose to share and it worked.

Ok, no I know you are a fake. left sterile after a legal abortion you are full of shit.

Thanks. and I just thought honestly, it might be empowering to hear someone say. hey I had an abortion and sure it was sad, but no , it hasn't consumed my whole life with sorrow and that is ok. is ok not to carry a wrought of guilt and it's ok to be happy and enjoy life. Many do.

@Tiget Cat

I am not an original reader, but have always loved how the MV guesses still keep rolling in and coming up in comments even after 5 years! For the first time someone has posted a link to all the MV clues, I actually looked. There's no way I'm going through all the comments, but when I was reading the original story Enty clearly referred to the manager as Guy (I'm assuming of course Guy Oseary). Has this been pointed out 1,000 times, and guessed to be Madonna? I know Shania has been ruled out (born in Canada/no kids) and it's often assumed to be Jennifer Lopez (has kids and goes by nickname/hyphenated nickname) but I thought J-Lo's manager had always been Benny Medina

Hilary Duff doesn't fit at all for MV. In 2009 MV had been separated or divorced, and had at least one child. HD wasn't married until 2010 and didn't have a child until this year. In Nov of 2011 MV had released a CD within the last 12 months. Her last new album released was in 2007 with some live album released in Nov 2009. Even if the years were fudged a bit by Enty she would have had to have been maybe 12-15 years old when she started this ruse.

As far as this current reveal, I'm not sure why anyone has to take an all or nothing approach on their own morals. Enty thinks it is wrong to out people, so he has his own line. That doesn't make him a hypocrite for having a gossip blog and not writing every piece of gossip he knows.

I don't read or comment most days anymore because I got tired of reading about the same abusive patterns in blinds and reality stars I don't know. I do usually pick and choose what stories I want to read here but it's hard to do that when something is two sentences long. You don't know what you are reading until you're done.

I don't get why some readers get bothered if I or anyone else has a disapproving comment about Enty or what he writes. We should just stop reading rather than express our opinion, yet they can express their opinion about it instead of skipping those comments. That is what is hypocritical. I don't think getting an abortion is shameful but it is just one thing among many that are private, and aren't anyone's place to tell.

It is no different than Enty outing any reader's abortion. Being in the public eye doesn't mean every detail of your life is fair game. I get to read or not read any of the stories on here. I get to have an opinion and write my opinion whether I agree or disagree. Most people who comment on this site manage to be respectful when having different views, and don't resort to name calling.

It's pretty obvious to me that Enty is OK with this as far as doesn't ban people or complain like some sites do for simply disagreeing with him.

From 2010:

Lawyers for Britney Spears' conservatorship have made their move to keep confidential "critical information" about Britney and her children.

The information is so sensitive the lawyers note on the open market "The possibility of such enormous profits presents a substantial risk that Ms. Spears' most confidential medical and personal information will be disclosed."

So the attorneys want the sensitive info about Britney, Sean Preston and Jayden James sealed, and stat.

Could be connected...

I agree rawr--not every woman suffers grief over a lost fetus. But in Jaime's case she was left sterile, which means her doctor was an asshat who did something wrong. I had one at 8 weeks along...absolutely the right thing to do at the time, and put it aside because I had to work, raise a child and deal with life. I had second child the following year--same dad, but circumstances were a little better.

As for MV which some of you may not recall comes from Milli Vanilli who had to return their grammy for not being the ones who sang on their songs that won their category---Would the world be shocked if Britney Spears revealed she couldn't sing? Hardly. I stand by my guess that everyone would be completely stunned to discover that Whitney Houston couldn't sing a note. Sbe was a superstar in her time...Britney more of a publicist built pop tart.

Sunny said...

@audrey
I agree that it would rock the music world if Whitney couldn't sing a note, but then I think about that Star Spangled Banner performance (Superbowl? I can't remember). It was a live a capella performance) and it was incredible.

I know I haven't been following all along, but I vote Madonna :)

@Dontrainonmyprada I only have a guess on who S is and I am only going by memory since I didn't save any of my sleuthing data on this subject.

I suspected it was one of the female singers from a Brit band called S Club or S Club 7. They were brought over to LA in early 2000 to make it big here. I had never heard of them but I do remember there was a link between where they were recording and the executive producer/record label of Hilary's records.

Why of all the entertainment lawyers in LA did S pick Enty to go to? I came to the conclusion that she knew he had a connection to MV. Again just my two cents :)

Thanks @gladiator now I want to read the old blinds! My vote is still Madonna. I always heard something odd when she sang. I don't think Hillary Duff not being a good singer would be shocking. Her and Mandy Moore are the same person I think. Both forgettable.

I remember there was a connection I found between this band and the record producer/label of Hilary's albums. I think they worked at the same studio but not sure.

You have to ask yourself why S chose Enty of all the entertainment lawyers in LA to go to. She must of known there was a link between him and MV. Just my two cents :)

Hang on a second!

Why are people sad for WHOEVER this is about? They should be disgusted with them.
If these two blinds are true they are suggesting that someone who is knowingly HIV+ is having unprotected sex with various people (otherwise how could she have gotten pregnant and not known who the father was?) which is basically murder. I couldn't give a damn whether the girl had an abortion - I care if someone is infecting other people with a deadly virus.

GotHaveIt, claiming Britney is a murderess is a bit of a stretch, no? First of all, many women find out their hiv diagnosis when they get the news that they are pregnant or shortly there after. There's no guarantee that she was already infected when she became pregnant or if she was, that she was aware of it.

And MyBrothehero, where are you getting your HIV stats from because they are off. It takes years for symptoms to show, but it does not take years for a positive test result to come back. If that were the case teenagers who just became sexually active wouldn't be testing positive for HIV shortly after becoming sexually active. You can have the virus in your body and not develop opportunistic infections for years, but the test will be positive.

I can't believe I missed all this yesterday... My problem with this is I immediately remembered that Enty posted this a few months after the abortion/HIV blinds

Wow. It is just 59 days and counting until the next mass reveal. Seems like only yesterday I spent my entire New Year holiday sitting in front of the computer for 40 hours straight going through all the blind items. I should start now, but probably won't actually get started until about July 3rd and then cuss and drink and promise myself I am never going to do it again. Oh, and just to let you know, the singer who is HIV+ should be out by then, but if not, well it will be here.

Then the end of the reveals for 7/4/2008 under Happy Independence Day he put

P.S. She's British. Kind of fitting if you think about the holiday and all.

Everyone took that as confirmation that Amy Winehouse was the infected singer. Read the comments from that post.

Also, I agree with WUWT many posts back that this reveal really throws a wrench into the MV blind because of Enty basically "notting" Britney because he considered her a friend.

There's a difference between feeling something is shameful, and feeling that it's personal and therefore should be private...but then, I'm not the first person to state that.

FWIW, around 10+ years ago, I found out that I have a congenital uterine malformation such that it would be impossible for me to carry a pregnancy long enough for it to be viable, and that trying to do so could be dangerous, if not downright deadline...uterine rupture, anyone?

*starts humming the chorus of Depeche Mode's "Blasphemous Rumours" to herself*

Robin the Mad Photographer said...

Assuming this is indeed Britney, and that she's also the HIV+ pop singer...that poor, poor girl. :-( All that drinking and drugging had the potential to be terribly teratogenic, never mind her mental state at the time...the phrase "the best solution to a no-win situation" occurs to me. I would guess it's coming out to take the wind out of Lufti's sails, since I'm sure he'd use both pieces of info against her at trial to try to prove how messed up she was. (Yes, and your point is...?) I wish her and her boys well, and hope she eventually ends up with whatever kind of life she really wants, whether it involves performing occasionally, or just lying low in Louisiana and being a mom. (And may Sam Lufti receive whatever justice he deserves, in an amount proportionate to his behavior...)

Also, if she was indeed sleeping around a lot while HIV+ during that point in her time, I certainly wouldn't say her intent was murderous--for God's sake, the poor girl was flat-out batshit crazy then, and I really don't see a claim of intentional harm to others working for that reason. It's all terribly sad, IMNSHO.

Robin the Mad Photographer said...

Um, that should be "deadly", not "deadline"...either way, going to term, or close enough to produce a live birth, just wasn't going to happen for me...

katsm0711 said...

I know I started it and I'm happy so many are coming out :) but I think it's very important to say that I don't feel any of us have to share why we did it. Nobody should need a reason, they should just be like oh, ok, that's her choice. I look at all of us the same, whether carrying a baby would kill you, financial troubles, mental instability, bad timing, whatever it was, you don't have to explain yourself. The choice was made, hopefully your life is peaceful now, and on to the next. We are all equal. No one needed to do it more than the other. I'm just soooo happy that so many of you are coming out. This is what women need. No, not everyone should have an abortion but we need to be more open about "women only" issues because we are the only ones that can offer proper support.
It's like, my BFF when we were kids' told me her mom had a miscarraige. I was SHOCKED! I never heard of that happening before. I told my mom and she said she had a big one and was all alone bc my dad always worked and she never told anyone even though it was a huge mess and she was terrified. That broke my heart to hear. Now, one gf has had a miscarriage, sister had an ectopic that I guess she had to have aborted which she is STRONGLY against (and I'll never tell her about mine even if we ever are back on speaking terms) sister in law had THREE in a row now she's due in December and having her tubes tied bc she can't go through the heartbreak again. I'm sure I know more but I'm told my moms generation never spoke about miscarriages let alone abortions. I'm a total loner but it makes me sad to think of someone needing support but it's taboo to admit it. I also know from the time half the women in my family were diagnosed with depression (most of it bullshit but...) we all found as we quietly confided our embarrassment in a random person, they always responded with "me too!" or someone close to them. We shouldn't be embarrassed of things we are.

Ok now it's zombie time on the east coast. Speaking of babies, I hope Laurie's comes out a zombie and eats her bc she's so annoying!!!!!

Thanks White Lily for the links. Jeez, I remember that weekend, and everyone started panicking because Enty hadn't posted on Facebook or Twitter.. But AlexT summed it up pretty nicely, and "not now Ironman" should probably be trademarked. BTW didn't Himmmmmm say he would wear a t-shirt with that phrase on it to let us know he was who we think he is? Did that ever happen and I somehow missed it?

Basil said...

ETA, I wanna give Brit a hug too. If Lufti is going to be revealing this in court then he never was or is her true friend as he likes people to believe. Poor thing. I wonder if Brit knows she is even being sued. If I were in charge of her conservetorship, I would be doing my damndest trying to make sure she doesn't find out. I think even the sanest person would have a hard time with this information becoming public.

Liz said...

I'm pro-choice, but I think too many men and woman use abortion as birth control. Condoms and other forms of birth control are widely available, so why take a chance? Having an abortion is a choice, just like making a choice not to use birth control and risk "needing" an abortion. It's not something that happens to you, but rather the result of being careless and irresponsible.

Condom use can prevent many STD's and many serious diseases like HIV and Hepatitis.

katsm0711 said...

Gee @liz how non-judgmental of you giving that you know none of the details of why any of us chose abortion. So you're "pro-choice"? Pro-choice for whom then? Do I need to make my case to you so you find mine acceptable?

Robin the Mad Photographer said...

In all fairness, there is such a thing as "method failure"--no contraceptive method is 100% guaranteed, even if you're using it absolutely correctly. (No, not even vasectomies or tubal ligations--women have gotten pregnant after both of those, although the odds are very, very small.) If you're going to be in a relationship, you really ought to think about what you would do in case you had an unplanned pregnancy to deal with, and make sure that your partner is on roughly the same page you are. It'll save both of you a great deal of grief if you end up in that particular boat.

EGB said...

I am that girl who got pregnant while on birth control, because we didn't know 21 years ago that penicillin could negate your pill. I made the choice that worked for me at the time, but I have zero patience for someone that assumes my unplanned pregnancy, that happened in my monogamous relationship, had anything to do with being careless or irresponsible. I try to make a rule to stay light and fun in this gossipy arena, but that comment legit pisses me off.

I'll throw in here. I accidentally got pregnant when I was 18 and two months away from leaving my tiny, awful home town for University in the big city. The condom came off inside of me. My whole life flashed before me when I found out I was pregnant, and we decided to abort. For some of us (for that judgmental person saying we should all give birth so others can adopt), the idea of having a child that is yours somewhere but given away is worse than the idea of ending a developing embryo. And no, I don't regret it and would do it again. I agree with the commenters who say we shouldn't feel ashamed if it was right for us. It's my right under the law and thank goodness religious zealots aren't in charge of women's bodies.

@moxie thanks for your info on "S"...I'm gonna investigate that angle. ;) the more I looked at Hilary Diff today, the more I agreed she's MV. There is much talk of her lip syncing all live appearances or her sounding like shit live. There's also a video from a movie she did where her voice changes inexplicably *within the song* and the YouTube comments on it are extensive! Also, her voice seems very different on her last album. (Much shittier). I can believe that this would've been an earth shaking revelation in 2006...Hilary had been pretty popular up till then. Just think about how scandalous the Ashlee Simpson (arguably a less famous star) debacle was...and this would've been much more so. I think you're right that Enty tried to cover his tracks by throwing out red herrings in subsequent posts. Probably MV was threatening him.. ;)

@DontRainOnMyPrada The more you sleuth the more it makes sense. I remember where I got the S Club connection from. The same guy who produced all of HD's CDs also did one called Disneymania (I think) which featured both HD and S Club. That was the first time HD was on a CD.

A funny thing I came across was two very young girls talking about HD's E. Lawyer's looks on a fan site. They said he was bald on top with a strip of bacon across his head. They go on. Its pretty funny stuff. Definitely worth all the time I spent sleuthing :)

I've gone back and forth over whether or not to say anything since I hate controversy, but here goes... I am pro-choice but also pro-adoption. One of my close friends was adopted & has had a wonderful life. She connected with her biological uncle in college and her biological mother afterwards and was grateful to have the chance to meet them and thank her mom for giving her the opportunity of life and a better one at that. Perhaps not a common story, but a true one that shows there can sometimes be happy endings in such a difficult decision. My father was also adopted and I always feel very lucky when I think that if different choices had been made, I would not be around to read all of your fine BI guesses, discussions, arguments, and snark.

I think at the end of the day, we as women are so unique that we have to consider that our own decisions have to be what's right for us (and if you'll allow me to say, the life of the child). We may not agree with another's choice or reasons or even their feelings, but our opinions and passion over the topic are shaped by our own experiences, positive or negative. When it comes to a subject like abortion, there's no right or wrong because everyone has been so uniquely shaped by their own life's journey, be it through experience, religion, etc. And for the record, I've never had an abortion nor do I have kids right now, so I can't speak from any other place than the adoption standpoint.

DontRainOnMyPrada said...

@mybrothehero - it actually only takes a couple of weeks from the point of HIV transmission for it to test as positive in PCR tests (which tests for the actual virus), and 6 weeks to 3 months from transmission for antibody or rapid tests (which test for your body's reaction to the virus). Very rarely it can take up to 6 months with the latter 2 tests, but that only happens in cases in which the person is immuno-compromised (generally from autoimmune disease). There can be false positives (usually autoimmune or liver disease, recent vaccinations, pregnancy, or hemodialysis), which is why there needs to be a second confirmatory test with the latter. It is very rare, but it can happen.

Also, don’t remember who said it, but there is a very big difference between HIV and AIDs, viral load and t cell count being among them. Easy way to remember it is that HIV is a virus that can lead to the development of AIDs. Drugs generally keep viral load low and can, in some cases, stave off the development of AIDs.

---I’m an HIV counselor

As for the inappropriateness of this blind, I dont really have an opinion. I think that public perception of abortions and HIV+ status and the associated stigmatization of persons associated with them make me not want to hear blinds like this revealed, however. I am very much of a pro choice mindset and have accompanied friends and my sister to have them. All used contraception that failed and all struggled with their decisions. It isnt an easy one for ANYBODY.
