Gerard Butler Says He Did Not Go To Rehab For Booze

In a new interview, Gerard Butler says that he wants to make it clear that he did not go to rehab for booze and that he has not had a drink in 15 years. He says that when people say he went for drinking that it makes him really angry. He then gets really coy in Men's Journal about why he did go to rehab. He says that he was taking a minimal amount of pills and that he went for pain management after his surfing accident. So, basically he had a prescription pill addiction and couldn't shake it and needed to learn how to deal with pain and kick the pills at the same time. He is so clear about the booze thing but so quiet about the pill thing. It is almost like it was written for Kneepads except they would have just ignored the booze thing completely.
