Blind Items Revealed

April 11, 2013

This B list mostly movie actress from a very famous family was approached by a fan for an autograph earlier this week. I can't believe she actually has fans, but maybe someone confused her with someone else. Anyway, the actress refused to sign anything and refused to pose for any photos and told the fan, "You should consider yourself lucky that I even stopped to listen to what you had to say."

Emma Roberts

The apple doesn't fall far from the aunt.

(Disclaimer) OneEyeCharlie if you have a b*tchy aunt who has pissed off so much of Hollywood that she can only do crappy insurance commercial voiceovers, this was not a slam.

Im all for celebs exercising their right to b left alone, but jeez, why even stop?

@baconranch - hahaha! and I thought that voice sounded like Julia Roberts.

This one could go either of two ways. Either she's just a spoiled little twat who doesn't appreciate fans, OR she got stopped by some obnoxious people who wouldn't take no for an answer and didn't want to let her go about her business. If you think about it that way, given the number of truly crazy fans out there, it's understandable to say something like that.

Emma Roberts has irritated me for a while and I try to boycott everything she's in. Unfortunately she's been in some movies I really wanted to see like Scream 4 so I had to watch her. I have heard many stories about her being an entitled little witch.

I wonder why people feel entitled to stop someone famous and expect them to pose for pictures. That being said as a public figure you'd be better served practicing a nice way to say no thanks. I mean it can be done.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Emma and Julia can go eat a bag of dicks.

If a fan is obnoxious the celeb has a right to move on. Fans need to not intrude on family outings, meal times, etc. If the celeb wants to keep fans, they need to be gracious whenever they can do so.

I can't say that I know her from anyone, but I once saw a clip with a famous actor being bombarded by people asking for autographs. To a one, they all had 8x10 glossy photos and sharpies at the ready, and whaddya know, the very next day, eBay and various sites that specialize in autographs had a run on that actor's signed photos. Fifty grown men clamoring for a teenage starlet's autograph probably don't strike her as "fans."

I agree, Sherry...it makes me uncomfortable that people think they can demand and receive attention from celebrities. If they're working, that's one thing, but in "real life", it's disrespectful. I mean, there are times when I don't want to be bothered with more than a quick wave and I'm nobody!

Baby I can totally relate. As I've gotten older I realize I don't have to even be friends with people who are basically selfish energy suckers either.

There is two sides to the story because if that was 100th person who asked you this in a day you might be cranky however the majority of celebrities have found a way to deal with this politely most of the time and it is the way you say things as much as what you say it. I totally agree Mel, LOL, for a variety of reasons sometimes you want to try to avoid people you know because you are in a hurry etc.

Myself I would never bother a celebrity even at an event where it would appropriate to approach them.

All they owe me is to entertain me on the screen or on the stage in exchange for my purchasing a ticket or a DVD or CD.

I also agree that the ebay autograph hunters are a breed that many celebrities have come to recognize, they will see the same people esp in NYC and LA. They will treat real fans great but have no time for the ebay types. And they are probably the ones gripping to a paparazzo or to a gossip site about the so called rude celeb.

I will never understand why buying a photo that you did not take and that was not even autographed while you were present has any value and I've never really understand the need for people to collect autographs except maybe a book signing or you are a handwriting analyst LOL. And now that autograph has morphed into the obligatory photo to be posted on Twitter or Facebook so I can prove to the world that I met X.

I'll stay unfamous thanks.

That said, you will find that the celebrities that are customarily reported as being that rude or condescending to fans turn out to be that WITH EVERYONE.

Ah, timebob. Suck a bag of dicks. I love Louis C.K. Maybe it's just me, but I can see this happening. There's no such thing as civility anymore, and part of that is the result of "praise yer kid at all costs--your kid is perfect and it's the rest of the world that's fucked up." Lil Miss Bitch sees how well that attitude helped Aunt Gigantic Bitch--what do we expect?

you know what I find seriously hilarious about stories like these? These bottom feeding B-/C actors and celebrities are usually HORRIBLE to fans and people working around and for them. Whereas really big mega stars are usually gracious and kind to people.

The biggest assholes I've worked with are twats like Emma, who have 4 screen credits. and david spade. david spade is the awful troll that lives under the bridge.

what a turd

I worked 3xs w Spade, he was fantastic, to me. Interesting...

It doesn't say Emma was being bombarded by screaming fans. It says one fan asked her for an autograph.

I've always heard she was entitled and rude. I think pretty much all the stars in Hollywood who got their careers through nepotism are that way. They don't know how good they have it because they've never had to struggle, so they don't appreciate their fans.

Sounds like bitchiness runs in the family.

YOU AND YOUR DAD should consider yourself lucky that Julia Roberts has such amazing casting couch skills that she was able to S#$% and F##@ her way to the top and give your family a name in Hollywood. Cultivate each fan gratefully you little....

My ex partied with him once in some dive bar and said he was nice to everyone. Maybe it was the alcohol.

PotPourri said...

Eric Roberts would not approve of that. He had a temper and loved drugs, but he was not like that to his fans.

Definitely watched Aunt Julia one too many times.

timebob said...

@Pot Eric had nothing to do with Emma's upbringing her mom and Julia were mostly involved.

@hollywood dime says it best. She has few screen credits and she THINKS she is a major hollywood star. I'm no fan of Julia but at least she was the IT girl of the 90's and an Oscar winner.

She won't speak to her dad, but she sure rides his last name as far as she can. I also find her pretty average looking, not exactly a leading lady type.

Ah the twat gene rears it's ugly head.

Let's hope she doesn't eff up American Horror Story Coven.

Can't figure out what the devil Evan Peters sees in her.

@di That's VERY interesting! The things I know about him first hand are horrendous!

Same applies in corporate. Middle management are assholes and the board of directors are personable, great human beings.

That is what you get for paying attention to Emma Roberts.

Eric Roberts is the only person in the family that can act.
