This A list singer is fighting with her record label again. Last time they fought, she won and the record lost. She is winning the fight again, but the record company says it needs to sell better than her last record they liked or they will drop her.

Kelly clearly spent all her fu¢ks years ago and hasn't bothered trying to refill them.
I don't understand these 'artists' they do know they have a short shelf life right? They do know the only way they will sell any records is if they actually work hand in hand with their label, right? They do know they would still be waiting tables if it was not for their labels, right? Apparently NOT.
And as for Kelly, first off, she is only famous because of American Idol, sure she can sing but there a millions of others who can sing better, look better and would be more grateful for the opportunity.
Secondly, she has not had a hit in forever therefore calling the shots on this record should be her LAST priority.
And lastly, this record will tank, she will be dropped and her slide into irrelevance will begin and she will claim that she just wants to be a mom or some shit.
Maybe she should stick to writing songs (if she even does, Idk I am not a fan) for other artists. She can make a nice living that way and would not have to 'listen' to the 'demands' of her label.
Why are people hating on Kelly. Sure she can just do what her label wants and become another Britney Spears but she won't be a real artist if she does that.
That's the reason all songs on the radio sound the same nowadays cause people just think about what sells and all songs use the same beat.
Good on you Kelly. I hope your record sells and I love your voice.

Kelly writes her own songs. Her hits are rock anthems that my kids know, even though they were born about the time she was on AI. She could very well have another hit. More power to her.
Kelly is a great singer but a terrible songwriter. Her only hits were written by others. The album she wrote herself was terrible.
Yep, I respect the hell out of her for not just hanging her hat on Max Martin and calling it a day. Good for her, she wants to earn it. No shame in that.
I agree with much of what you said, except for the part where you claim she's only famous due to American idol. That show seemed to produce more 'where are they now' candidates than successful acts.

Kelly just finished her Idol contract and moved to a new label. She had several options for a new label and having been through the "fight with the label" thing before I'm sure she would have made sure they were on the same page going into the new contract/album. This blind sounds like BS to me.
