Malan Breton At Fashion Week
Malan Breton who is one of my very favorite Project Runway contestants had his own show at Fashion Week. He even got one of the big tents and as far as I know the only Project Runway alum to have any kind of presence at the show.
Very pretty. Nothing particularly daring. (being the Michael Kors of the CDAN commenters)

ReplyDeleteNever watch 'reality' tv but he's got a good color combo going. Nothing that looks hideous (like certain celebutards past and present). Hopefully he'll continue making good designs, best wishes to his collection!

I do like the colors and fabrics he's showing here.
Those first 2 pics are actually wearable! Finally someone didn't vomit up a design on paper and make it walk down the catwalk.

ReplyDeleteYEAH for Malan!!!! He was the BEST-est, sweetest contestant e-v-e-r... And I'd actually WEAR summa them dresses (#2,4 & 6 in particular!) :)
ReplyDeleteUsually I watch as the outfits come down the runway and automatically think to myself"Who designs this shit?", The second question I ask myself is "Who in their right mind would wear that shit?".

ReplyDeleteNever watched PR, but I adore that gold dress (#3). I'd love to have that for our office Christmas party!
ReplyDeleteI like #2, but that skirt would just be a floating sign saying "Look! Big Thighs!!". It's pretty on the model tho.
Malan should have lasted longer on PR. He may have made some mistakes, but he was clearly talented and creative.

I just came back to check out Malan's pretty designs again, and I SWEAR Ent slipped in another pic since my last comment! OK, probably not, but I definitely overlooked one pic & numbered my preferences wrong... So, for the benefit of, uhmm, NO ONE (this thread is so DEAD I'm hearing echoes) - My faves are actually #2, #5 and #7. (I wouldn't want Malan sending me the wrong dresses, now would I?!)
