Hey, There Was The Engagement
Everyone is making a big deal today out of the fact that Sunshine Tutt was given about $200,000 for the two months she was married to Chris Kattan. Now, granted that is a lot of money for just two months. Especially considering she was just supposed to get $10,000. But, what people forget is they were engaged for a very long time so she had to pretend to like him for a very long time. This wasn't just a meet and then Vegas thing. Nope. This was a be your girlfriend for six months and then get engaged for six months and then get married for two months thing. Kind of like a normal relationship. Well, normal in the sense of time, not normal in the sense that anyone would really believe it.
But, when you think about her spending basically 18 months with him, then the $200,000 figure doesn't sound so ridiculous. Now, if you are a romantic you could say that the renegotiation Chris undertook after the marriage was because he was feeling sympathetic that she had stuck with him through 18 months of good and bad times including those 24 hour marathons of Mango and that movie where he plays a fake FBI agent. If you are a cynic you can say he upped the dough because he was trying to hide something and she was going to spill all. Either way, as her attorney told TMZ, "My client is very relieved that she can leave this two month marriage with some resources that will allow her to rebuild her life."

As much as I could use the money, it would take some kind of acting job on my part to fake being attracted to Chris Kattan. Even for $200K.
according to the tabs, he wanted out almost as soon as he married. So he had to renegotiate just to be somewhat of a gentleman. She married him in good faith, god knows how. I can't imagine doing it with that icky little gnome.
Oh, HE wanted out? That kinda changes things. I was seeing him as the victim. If he dumped HER, yeah, she deserves every penny and then some.
I can't remember when/which blind but wasn't there one about 4 months ago about a guy who without previous signs of violence started beating up on his wife as soon as they got married and the marriage lasted a very very short time? Thjis might be it.
I think she should get a LOT more money. Like, A LOT.
i read he walked in on her with some guy...in their home. she should have gotten a boot in the ass and that's it.
Does he even make thay kind of money?
he probably runs a lemonade stand on the side.

$200K won't even buy a condo, so I don't know how she thinks she's going to rebuild her life on $200K. Maybe go back to school and think of a career, if she's smart.
Thankfully it was only 18 months of her life.

jerry, thnx. they're not on my keyboard, but then i don' thave a TM on mine either. i'm using windows xp and you have to go into symbols in word to look for the tm there. maybe there are musical notes too.
