Samantha Ronson Doesn't Do Lesbians (Bars That Is)
Hell, for all I know maybe Samantha Ronson doesn't do lesbians either. Maybe she just has a thing for women who are unsure like Lindsay Lohan. But, according to the NY Post, one of the most famous lesbian bars in America that really could have used Samantha Ronson's help to stay open was told by her agent that Samantha doesn't perform at lesbian bars. Obviously if she did, someone may confuse her with an actual lesbian. Oh, wait, she is.
I'm not going to tell Samantha Ronson where she should and should not play, but to outright ban playing at any gay or lesbian nightclub just seems wrong. I don't care if she was straight, what the hell does it matter what clubs you play at? They were willing to pay her fee ($8,000 a night, airfare, and a hotel) but Sam would have no part of it. My guess is that in a few years when Lindsay is back to guys and people have forgotten Sam and her fee is $200 and a pack of smokes that perhaps she will not be treating the gay and lesbian community as poorly as she is treating them now.
This particular bar she refused to play at is Rubyfruit which despite her hands off attitude ended up being saved from closure and has now been renamed RF Lounge. Sam had the opportunity to help a bar that is known worldwide. Forget that it is lesbian, she had a chance to do something special and she chose not to. Well, maybe now she will see that her actions have consequences and she will be mooching off her brother and sister much sooner than expected.

to be fair, her rep said she wasnt offered the gig...this is publicity for the bar even if it is false...
And Donna Summer sued NY Magazine over those alleged remarks, so hopefully that was just b.s. I do know who she is, and I love her music, so I want it to not be true.
I read at one of the gossip sites that Whorehan just came out about their relationship.

And I have the feeling that while Lindsay likes the sex and companionship of SamRo, she isn't thrilled with the whole lesbian culture. And I bet they're not all that thrilled with her, either.
I have VERY limited knowledge of the lesbian scene, but from what I have learned through acquaintances, it doesn't seem like a place Lindsay would like. It's not a glamorous enough scene, AFAIK.
Okay, and I have one more semi-related thing to say about this: Lindsay kind of reminds me of Jane Fonda. Remember she was all sexy and hanging out with Vadim and then she got that mullet and became "Hanoi Jane" and then she went and married that egomaniacal Christian Turner? It just seems like she's dabbling in whatever her man does and she's gonna do a 180 when the next one comes along.
uh, this doesnt make sense...If she charges 8000 to gig and the bar is in financial trouble, how did they expect to pay her? I bet the bar asked her to do it for free (cause then lindsay might come and create alot of buzz for the club), she said no, I dont work for free and somewhere in between someone interjected that she hates lesbian clubs.
No law against being uncharitable.

Whatever. Maybe there's not enough booger sugar at Rubyfruit.
Maybe she doesn't want to get pigeon-holed into doing certain kinds of gigs. She seems to enjoy having friends of all persuasions.
This post pisses me off. It annoys me when Ent posts judgemental stories like this when her rep has already said it's bullshit. It heads into Perez shit stirring territory. Discussing Lindsay's radio interview would have been relevant but instead we're resorting to the 'she'll head back to boys' line? Hmpf.
This has been debunked by all parties. Can we move on? Yeah, there's audio of an interview by Lilo where she's asked how long she and Sam have been dating. Her response is that it's been a very long time.
Also, unless it's a mock-up, there's a People mag cover where Clay Aiken states that he's out. Haven't read all Enty's column for today so he may have already addressed this.
