Josh Duhamel & Fergie Fight About Babies
In this week's National Enquirer they rounded up some homeless people to be their sources and then began writing stories. No, that didn't happen. Probably. Anyway, this week The Enquirer says that Fergie and Josh Duhamel are fighting about kids. It seems that Josh wants her to get pregnant now and Fergie says no, she wants to keep working and doing movies but she is willing to adopt. OK, I am all for adoption or biological kids. Whatever you want. The thing is though Fergie doesn't want to take any time off which is why she is opposed to having a biological child.
So, is she saying she can't work at all while pregnant? I understand about movies or what not, because roles are roles, but I don't understand why she can't sing or tour. Women all over the world work while pregnant and singing seems to be a whole lot easier than what most people do for a living. So, she must be talking about the fact she doesn't have time to deal with a biological baby but she does for one she adopted? What, are they just going to stop by the adoption drive-thru, say hi to the baby and drop it off with a nanny?
Whether you have your own baby or adopt, shouldn't determine the amount of attention you give to the child. The only other possible explanation I can think of for all this is that Fergie really is a man.

Nicole Richie is a good example of a radiant pregnant woman. What do you think Fergie is going to look like at 7 months?
Girlfriend will definitely need some time off if she gets pregnant.
I like the idea that she may be a man, but maybe she is nervous about the fact that she was a Meth addict for so many years, & how that might influence any baby she may have.
Well in all fairness, can you imagine Fergie, dropping it like it's hot with a huge belly???
Surely someone who just sings (Sade) can tour while pregnant but singer/dancers (Beyonce/Janet/Madonna) have to much going on to tour while preggers

Sounds like she's saying Josh can have a kid if he wants, but she isn't going to let one interfere with her life. I was thinking it'd be like having a single parent, but it wouldn't, because the kid would have two parents and know that one of them didn't give a crap about it. Sad.
If she's not ready to be a mom, fine.
No reason to bring some innocent adopted baby into the whole situation.
Shouldn't they have had this conversation before the wedding?

I don't think it's drugs as much as a raging alcohol problem. Note various blinds about this and how Josh has been finding other ways to fulfill his "needs"?
Agree with MontanaMarriott, I don't think Fergie can actually perform like she usually does when she's pregnant...
but if she's really isn't ready to take care of a child, she should not consider adopting either. I think she said she's ok with adopting because of the "trend"
Fergie should be able to have kids when she's comfortable with it. That's the whole point of reproductive rights.
But that said, didn't MIA just perform on the Grammys when she was like, 17 months pregnant? And wearing that giant polka dot? And jumping around all over the place?
Just sayin'.
Cyndi Lauper performed when she was HUGELY pregnant, and she was like 45 at the time!
Fergie/Black Eyed Peas performances tend to be very athletic...I don't think she could perform up to the required standards if she was pregnant. Plus, it may be that she sees pregnancy as a time in her life when she wants to take time off and focus only on the developing baby, and right now she's focusing on her career which makes rigorous demands on her body. Maybe she knows that once she has a baby, her body will never be the same. If she's not ready for that yet I don't know that it makes her a bad person by admitting it.
You've been married for a whole five minutes, Josh, and you're both young. Take a breath and don't rush into things!

She might not perform like she usually does, but she could perform on some level. That's up to her.
That being said, Jennifer Lopez went on tour while pregnant and she doesn't seem like the type to overly exert herself.
This makes me think about the really old blind ENTY did about the famous couple that adopted a baby and then proceeded to ignore it and tried to get rid of it.
If she isn't ready PLEASE don't bring a child into that. No child deserves that hell. I would think that is a conversation that should have come up somewhere along the line. I give this relationship a year tops.

Maybe she's too old to get pregnant without a lot of help, which could interfere with her work schedule. I know she claims to be in her 30's, but I keep hearing people saying she's really in her 40's.
She made such a big deal about her new trim figure, I doubt she's in a rush to get pregnant

Thinking it's because Fergie's may need the help of modern medicine to get p.g., and may not want to do that.
She just doesn't want to give up the booze, fags and drugs for 9/10 months.
That's assuming that she cares about the health of her spawn (and would earn a tiny amount of respect from me if this is the reason. Lord knows many mothers say "fuck it" and breed anyway).
I'm going with Fergie is a man and still uses.
Okay I am going to go with the "she has no intentions of screwing up her body by having a kid".
What still annoys me to no end... is to this day that married women still have to defend their decision not to have a baby.
Where is it written that you have to have a child, simply cause your married.
Sadly, the best way to screw a new marriage up is to put a child into... way too soon.
I agree, Hautie. There could be many reasons why she's nixing the idea - *if* this story is true.
1. She's not ready to be a mom.
2. She doesn't want to wreck her body.
3. She's afraid of how the child will turn out.
4. She's afraid to use coke/whatever to slim down because that might (probably) wreck her marriage.
5. She likes kids as long as they're not hers.
6. She doesn't want to stop ingesting whatever her poison is.
All conjecture, but any of these may apply.
