This one kind of hurts because I like this person. She is a celebrity. Not an actress, but a C+/B- television host and former reality star. Anyway as a host of her program she has a few provisions that she needs followed at all times. No one can speak to her prior to 8am. Also, she needs a minimum of two hours for makeup. Either her boyfriend or a friend must be with her at all times. She only does one take of each stand up she does before the camera. One. No more than that ever. She is such a diva that most of the crew quits after working with her for just one episode.

Chelsea Handler from "Chelsea Lately?" She's dating the head of the E! so I could see her getting away with this type of behavior.
What about Bridget Marquardt? Enty has said he likes her in the past, and she hosts that beach show on the Travel Channel.

I kind of like the Chelsea Handler guess above. The clues do make sense - boyfriend is head of E!, and the "one take of each stand up" seems to point to a comedian. Also, she did Girls Behaving Badly (I think that was the name) which might be considered a reality show.

She sounds like quite a piece of work. I hope it's not Bridget even though it fits (she does have idiot friends along with her on her trips; I remember one blond had never heard of Croatia!) (*rolls eyes).

Ummm....if someone from my work called me before 8 am I would hang up on them. Why does crew hate that she does her thing in one take? Quick wrap, right? I know I'd need 2 hours for makeup as well.
I don't like Chelsea Handler. She is just so catty and lame. Her show has become nothing but a tabloid recap show with tabloid editors as guests. So lame.
@ Terrance - I agree! I don't get why everyone's so crazy about her. Her whole schtick seems so forced, though I did like the Paris diss with Jenny.
I saw the Jenny McCarthy thing and, if you ask me she has no right to make fun of Paris Hilton. Jenny McCarthy made her early career by being an airheaded skank, just like Paris, and now she thinks she gets to judge? At least Paris does not feel she is qualified to write books about "preventing and curing Autism". Jenny McCarthy is an unt-cay.

Her opening monologue she does every show is always a bit shaky and i can easily them being done as one take. Plus, she does have lot of makeup applied to her since her show began to be shown in HD. She's the host of the program and with Girls Behaving Badly, fits the reality show thing too. Plus, her boyfriend is the head of E! as she always mentions.
Screw it though. I watch her show every night and love it.

most late night hosts don't work until 9 or 10 am so another reason not her.

I totally pictured Kathy Griffin for this one. She's dating Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple), so that fits. She had a reality show, and does stand-up, and always seems like SUCH a bitch.

I don't see it as Chelsea. When a stand-up is referred to in this context, they just mean her doing her bit - i.e. introducing whatever segment they are showing, that is why it seems more like Bridget to me. I hope not though, because I kind of liked her too.
And Chelsea sits there and does interviews as well.

i was thinking cat deeley. she is super likable, has an actor boyfriend who could easily be with her often, might be considered C+/B- although not as much in the US and i think enty likes her. not so sure she would classify as a former reality star though...

It's not Chelsea. I have been to two tapings of her show and she had to do a few takes of her opening monologue...and other parts of the show. She was really nice, too.
I don't see how the show continues on if they have to hire a new crew EVERY episode. That sounds to me as if it's not someone who is the host of every episode of the show.
(Maybe we could IMBD the shows being mentioned here and see which one has the most crew members?)

I think "former reality star" is the biggest clue. But who? Cindy Margolis was on a celebrity cooking show on NBC. Chelsea Handler likewise had a reality show briefly, "On the Lot." But I don't think it's either one.
My first thought was Padma Lakshmi bc Enty seems to really like her (or at least thinks she is really good looking – which she is) and she hosts Top Chef but she is an actress and was not a reality star just hosts a reality show. So not her.
Hope, I don’t think it is Bridget Marquardt or at least I don’t want to believe it bc she seems nice and easy to work with. I am not sure what Enty means by “needs” 2 hours of makeup. I took it to mean that she thinks she needs it, not that it takes 2 hours to make her beautiful.

Isn't a "stand-up" the introduction of a clip or segment?? I don't think it has anything to do with comedy, tbh.
My first thought was Maria Menunos (sp?) - but I don't know about reality for her. I do think it is someone on an entertainment mag show. That is where you will find "stand-ups".

The part about crew quitting after one episode is either not literal or just plain bullshit. Like most of us, they don't have the luxury of doing that.
