So He Killed Himself With A Purse Strap?
I am really confused. A coroner in Brazil has ruled that the death of former boxing champ Arturo Gatti was actually a suicide. It turns out that his former stripper wife Amanda Rodrigues didn't kill him with her purse strap while he was passed out drunk but that he somehow managed to kill himself on her purse strap while passed out drunk. A court in Brazil has ordered that she be released. No one has explained how when he killed himself that he managed to stab himself in the back of a head with a steak knife and how that blood ended up on the purse strap.
It is expected she will reunited with their 10 month old son sometime tonight. He had been in the hotel also when the suicide occurred. Can 10 month old children pick up steak knives and stab daddy in the back of the head while sleeping. Yeah, that is probably what happened.

I've read death reports before, and you'd be surprised at the tiny things that people can kill themselves with.
Yeah, this is a bit suspicious. His wife is Brazilian and I read reports that she may have "lured" him to Brazil to kill him with a degree of immunity. Apparently the report also allegedly said that he could have been murdered, or that his death may have been an accident.
Oh, his family will be *so* glad to see *her* at the funeral.
Jimmy Breslin himself couldn't make this stuff up. How long will be it before this is on L&O?
I've read that he was abusive. Who knows.

Hi! I am here in Brasil and can tell you first hand that money talks. Really talks. An acquaintance was murdered, shot in the face for screwing the wife of the chief of police in minor city. No questions asked. No investigation. A friend friend-of-friend was murdered this May. The government swept it under the rug, even with the French Consulate actively and strongly involved. Some countries have turned spinning your wheels/dragging ass into an art form. Not surprising in the least.
I read in the Toronto Star that one hypothesis is that his body fell onto the steak knife after he was already dead.

The funeral was last week. Michael Baden was brought in to look at the autopsy results. He can't rule out either suicide or homicide at this point, but the Brazilians did miss quite a few things.
About money talks. Damn straight. He changed his will, giving 100% of his estate to his wife, before going to Europe, then Brazil with her. He has a daughter in New Jersey. Nothing for her, nothing for his family.

i dated Arthur in the 90's met him at our mutual friends Farm in Gibbstown New Jersey. He come to see me or have me come see him while he was training in Virginia Beach . He was a charmer, joker, but worse control freak. It got worse and worse hated if i wore makeup if we went out to dinner, or even a niteclub.
as time went on he would feel like no one loved him . Which was opposite, be very very deep in depression and things would get very out of control in ways which was not ok .
