Princess Caroline Gets Embarrassed Again
I am not sure why Princess Caroline stays with her husband. He has treated her like crap and she keeps sticking up for him and then he treats her like crap again. For those of you who really don't follow the Monaco royals so don;t know any of this, it really doesn't matter. It is played out everywhere all over the world everyday. This is just more public.
Caroline is married to a guy named Ernst. He happens to be some kind of Prince or at least has the title because I am not sure you can actually be a Prince if your country no longer has a monarchy. Anyway, Ernst has some girlfriend that he takes on vacations and to public events while Caroline stays at home.
Back in 2004 Ernst got into trouble for beating a disco owner in Kenya. He was fined about $600,000 and has been trying to get the ruling overturned since. Well, last week Caroline testified for this guy even though he is has been cheating on her in front of the world. So, you would think he would realize the error of his ways and start spending more time with his wife and thankful for her help. Well you would be wrong. This week he decided to take his relationship up a notch and brought his girlfriend to a very public event in Austria. What an a-hole. Oh, and now he is thinking about suing the newspapers that published the photos of him with his mistress because he thinks they are embarrassing. Umm, what about your wife a-hole?
Hey, their 11th anniversary is next week though so there is always hope right? I bet he spends it with the girlfriend.

Well if he's wife doesn't seem to have the balls to walk away knowing all this cheating is going on why should he stop? she's allowing this behavior by staying by his side, he'd be a dang fool if he left a good thing.
No I'm not condoning cheating and this guy is an asshole but you gotta call a spade a spade.
She'll be 53 in a couple days. At least in this picture, she is not ageing well.
Monaco is a sovereign principality, which makes Caroline's brother, Prince Albert II the head of state. She is the most likely to take the throne if her brother passes.

I remember they both had their moments, however one definitely outshone the other with their actions, multiple divorces, etc.
That being said, there has to be a reason behind this, and it's not that they're Catholic and divorce isn't an option.

Could it be he's allowed to do these things because he's got some seriously damaging dirt on Caroline?
And don't forget, Princess Grace had quite the reputation before she married Ranier and got whitewashed.
Merlin, it's Stephanie who was the wild child. She's the one who married the circus performer, was in the car with princess Grace when she died, and was constantly in the tabloids. Caroline seems to have lived comparatively quietly, although having Ernst trot out his mistress at public events must be pretty embarassing.
Caroline and Stephanie were both pretty wild, but I think Stephanie was more wild.
Caroline divorced her first husband, so divorce is possible.

Ernest and his wife took Caroline in after her 2nd husbands death. Caroline promptly stole him from her friend. Can any one say Karma is a bitch ladies and gentleman?
I don't think that Grace was exactly a virgin when she mariied, to say the least.
Grace Kelly was very promiscuous before she became a princess. Grace had affairs with Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, William Holden, Ray Milland, David Niven, Frank Sinatra, James Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Bing Crosby and the shah of Iran. Hedda Hopper called her a nymphomaniac.

That said, perhaps Caroline has an open marriage? Who know why she stays? Maybe she's getting something on the side herself.

Caroline is a very arrogant person. She looks down on 'normal' people just like her husband Ernst August. Therefore I thought they were a perfect match and deserved each other.
I don't know if anyone of you ever watched the video of that photographer who got beat down by Ernst August with an umbrella.
That man is totally crazy and feels entitled to behave like a laird in medieval times towards his bondsmen.

Thanks for the update on Grace. I think Caroline was also the one who kept wearing the scarf on her head and everyone wondered if she had cancer or was just looking for sympathy.

A few years ago he pulled the royal peen out and took a royal pee, and it was somewhere were people saw him do it. I think maybe there was even a pic?? At the time I thought "how charming"!!! Not! Reminded me of Billy Carter!
Isn't there a royal curse? Caroline sure hasn't had the best of luck when it comes to the fellas. I think she looks her age. Stephanie who is younger looks older than Caroline. I love to hear them speak with their strange accents. Caroline is probably glad old Ernst has somebody else to hold his weewee when he pees in an alley.
Caroline suffered from alopecia (sp?) from stress, thus the head scarf for a while years ago.
Also, she and Ernst August were either BFs or dated and in love when they were younger, but it didn't work out for some reason (arranged or "expected" marriages for both, likely).
"Finding" each other after Casiraghi or whomever he was died had a nice, fairy-tale delayed-happiness ring to it, whether true or not...
Caroline always had far more (seeming, anyway) taste and class than Stephanie did. Stephanie was buck WILD. She even joined a circus for a while!

I remember an Enty post on Caroline a few years ago saying that the alopecia story was a ruse to cover up for her having breast cancer. Apparently the idea that she could go bald from a stress related illness rather than chemotherapy was more palatable.

But @Sunnyside, I know they lived together for years, but what I've heard (rumor) is that Spencer Tracy was gay, Katherine Hepburn was asexual, but they were great friends so it worked out for both of them.

Stephanie was/is not only wild, she is incredibly coarse. It was rumored for years that she was driving the car when it had the accident that ultimately killed her mother, Grace, so her countrymen cut her some slack.
Grace was very promiscuous and also had a daddy complex. She really liked much older men and was in love with Ray Milland who was married when they had a torrid affair.

Stephanie and her mother were arguing in the car when it went off the road in Monaco and killed Grace. She has to live with herself every day.
If you don't want embarassing pictures taken, don't do embarassing things. Just sayin...
