Jessica Simpson Takes Out The Claws For Vanessa Minnillo
Last week when Jessica Simpson bought her unemployed boyfriend dinner and Nick Lachey and his girlfriend, Vanessa Lemonjello were seated several tables away, the only comment we heard from anyone was that Jessica said no one said anything to anyone and that is was no big deal.
Well, US Weekly talked to her server that night, who probably does not have a job today, and that server said, that Jessica said, "'I hope Vanessa likes her clothes because I bought them for her, since Nick took all my money.'" Ouch. That one is going to leave a mark. It is probably true though. I am not sure that Vanessa earns all that much in her career as a, I don't exactly know what she does now except show up at some things and get paid.
Apparently, having Nick around also caused Jessica to drink heavily as she started downing margaritas and doing tequila shots.

To be fair it was the wise decision and directive of dear old Daddy, that Jessica refused to sign a prenup b/c when they got married Nick was the bigger star. She only blew up b.c of the Newlywed MTV show. By the time of the divorce, Jessica was the bigger star and had to give Nick mucho $$. She should blame her father not Nick. She chose to leave Nick and sow her oats and found that the grass was not greener on the otherside.
I find it hard to believe she's that snarky after so long and we've never heard anything before this. But, maybe I don't read enough.
She looked like hell on Proj Runway. That hairstyle does not suit her more curvaceous body. Plus what in the holy hell is wrong with her jaw? She talked like it was wired shut.
Maybe they were both miserable. I never bought the whoring Jackass stories.
Who are we to say the grass isn't greener? I don't live her life,this could be the best thing that ever happened to her for all we know.
Nick was controlling and was constantly trying to change her in the marriage from what we saw/heard. He married her the way she was and then talked about changing her ways with a "5 year plan." I don't blame her for getting out if that were true.
I agree with Borg Queen in that she wanted to sow her oats and picked the wrong pony. That's her fault, not his. Anyway, what can you say about this girl? She just seems simple to me. You can't be mean to simpletons, it's not a fair fight.
I must admit I was a big fan of Newlyweds and really wanted Jess and Nick to work out.
lol, Sue Ellen. I actually can't believe that someone as "simple" as Jessica, would even say these snarky things. And wasn't she there with her boyfriend? Makes her look kind of pathetic to start downing tequila shots and margaritas just because her ex-husband was there. This can't possibly be the very first time that they attended the same event/location since the divorce.
I think we can hold Jessica accountable for apparently being a giant fucking nasty bitch -- Vanessa, for good or ill, held jobs on MTV and ABC. So, perhaps - just perhaps! - she buys her own goddamned clothes.
As others noted, her greedy-as-fuck father/pimpmaster is the reason they didn't have a prenup. Girl needs to woman up and just be a little nicer. And just because she occasionally seems as dumb as a post doesn't make her 'sweet' or 'nice' or a 'simple Texas gal,' I don't think.

If I'd gained as much weight as Jessica and then ran into my ex and his skinny girlfriend I'd be hitting the margaritas too.

She may have said it, who knows? Either way, I don't really think it's that big a deal. Money is money and she was probably aiming for a laugh. I've been in a similar situation and I hit the cocktails too so my ex was sure to see I was having a "great" time without him. She's only human.
yes most women care about their weight and some do something about it and others don't . Most women can agree that running into an ex with thier hot girlfriend would bruise the ego a bit.

She does not have girlfriends. I mean your true blue lets go and get drunk girls that you can hang out with and that will take you for how you are and be honest with you when you need it. Honestly-where is that girl from the show that got her eyes done with her?
As for the money-A fool and their money are soon parted. Her father is a greedy fool. Jessica needs to shut up about her guys. I mean every time she has a guy she talks about "this is the ONE! I have NEVER been happier". Girl, me thing thou does EMOTE TOO MUCH.
I'm no Jessica fan, but she stood up for Mondo so I'll have to give her a pass on this one.

What Borg Queen said. And I think part of Nick's 5 year plan was to teach her some basic manners and smarts. If I recall, she took pleasure in making loud, obnoxious burps and the like.
I like Jessica. She did look pretty bad at the PR finale. I think maybe she's the type that retains water when she flies or eats certain foods. You can see pics of her days apart where she looks much thinner or heavier.
I also think she has a habit of leading with her lower lip when she talks.
Jessica is a simpleton who has a mean strike. She is not to be pitied.
TMZ had her mom leaving the restaurant after dining w/ them & she was crying. Thought that was odd. I would have probably left the restaurant.
I found her comment funny (but mostly b/c I don't like LemonJello). Even if it is Joe's fault re: the pre-nup, why shouldn't she be able to be snarky about it? And yes, even years later. But I wonder how new boy felt?
