i read they found a female skeleton, a sextant and some other things in 1940 which were sent to fiji for examination and then LOST. how that happens, i don't understand but that's what happened.
they now have a possible finger bone found in the same place that they're going to test and see if it's earhart's.

Anyone else find it strange than Selena is 18 and dating a 16 year old? When I was 18 I wouldn't be caught dead doing that. Obviously when you move out of your teens it isn't a big deal at all.

As for an 18-yr-old with a 16-yr-old (Selena & Justin), it's different for them because they're not normal teens in school. At 18 I was in college and wouldn't be caught dead with anybody still in high school but these two are both at the same stage in life, plus they have a lot in common being famous child stars so I don't think it's strange at all.
When I was 17 I went out with a 15 year old. But it only lasted 1 date. He was pretty mature for his age, and even looked just as old as me, but I just couldn't get past it, mentally. He's a brilliant physicist or something like that now. My bad!
But yah, agree Selena is being paide to hang out with the Beibs. Contributing to his "ladies man" image LOL
Can't wait to hear if it is Amelia. If not, it's one of the most interesting historical pieces in a long time. I truly believe, she LIVED!

I don't want the bones to be Amelia's. That would mean that she probably died due to lots of screw-ups. The island where these bones were found and where a skeleton was found in 1940 (a British doctor at the time said it was the skeleton of a middle-aged man of Eastern European descent, the skeleton was then unaccounted for, but a review of his notes on the skeleton led researchers to believe the skeleton was that of a small, Caucasian female) was listed as searched. If these remains turns out to be Earhart, somebody lied, either mistakenly or deliberately, about the island having been searched, and she and her navigator mostly likely died of dehydration or starvation. The eternal mystery is much more romantic.

Although I agree the eternal mystery is more romantic, anyone interested in the research being done concerning Amelia Earhart's landing on Gardener Island/Nikumaroro has to check out tighar.org's website. A condiderable amount of physical and anecdotal evidence has surfaced to indicate this is where she and Fred Noonan ended up, as sad as that may be.

When I was 17 my boyfriend was 15. He was way cool too! And his brother drove a Roadrunner, the one with the spoiler. I saw him on Facebook. He's happily married with daughters and cats now. I'm so happy for him because he was truly a great guy.
