Nick Zano Broke Up With Haylie Duff For Kat Dennings
The good news is that at least Nick Zano probably didn't cheat on Haylie Duff before he broke up with her. The bad news he met Kat Dennings and within a week broke up with Haylie as he traded in one former co-star for another. Not saying that Nick is not an opportunistic guy, but Haylie was doing pretty well when he co-starred with her and started dating her, but dumped her for a better prospect. Kat and Nick met each other in November and within a week, Haylie was history. Kat's rep is trying to play it down by saying Kat and Nick are just starting to date, but Kat has called Nick her boyfriend so maybe actress and rep need to get on the same page.

Love Kat. Her bf is hawt. Good for her. Haylie was only good in Napoleon Dynamite.
I always recognize Nick from when he was on What I Like About You as Vince (with Amanda Bynes)
But I don't get the Kat Dennings hype. She's ok. Nice boobs although no one ever remembers her naked pick leak. I just don't see anything *great* about her. But I loved Nick and Norah, nonetheless.
I don't see why this is even a story. He did the right thing by breaking up with Haylie when he found himself attracted to Kat. With all that we read on this site about cheating, I find it refreshing that he handled things the way that he did.

it's a classic break up story:you're with someone but you meet another one so you break with your first girlfriend to date another one.I don't see where is the trouble?
I kinda feel bad for Haley. She isn't a bad little actress and wasn't she rumoured to actually be the one singing for her sister?
I don't know any of them, but so what? It's called "dating," often involves short relationships and happens every day among us lesser beings too. Big deal.

Something about her grates my nerves. I get that she's pretty and great boobs and all that, just something about her drollness or something.
Reno, she annoys me too. I don't even think she is pretty. I think she is an ugly version of Hilary Duff. which actually makes this story a little more interesting now.
Reno - are you a SATC fan? If so, maybe you're just recognizing her as the over-sexed obnoxious young teen that Samantha had to plan a Bat Mitzvah for. That character alone makes her grate my nerves...
@Reno - Droll is a very good word for her. Maybe that is it. Its like... there's dry sarcasm and then there's try-to-hard to be dry/droll. Or something. Yes, its hard to put into words.
@Cathy - I have all the SATC DVDs and I don't remember that one!! I'll have to go back and rewatch. I probably haven't seen it since pre- Nick/Norah days and I never connected the dots.

I think that every time I see her face or hear her voice, I think of that character and it just makes me cringe. Also, I looked it up and she was only 14 at the time!
At least he broke up with Haylee before starting to date Kat. It's not like he's a cheater. Seems to me to be an upstanding guy.
I like Nick, and love Kat. She is just spunky, and loved how unassuming she is during interviews.
And Nick is just really hot. I mean, I've giving 2 Broke Girls a chance, and the best thing that shook that show was Nick Zano. His chemistry with Kat on the show is crazy hot. You just want to see them kiss already!! Hope he comes back soon.

Personally, I confuse Kat von D with Kat (von) Denning, or at least their names.
I don't get the love for Kat. I like her new show but her acting seems soooo forced and downright bad. The horse that was on for awhile was a better actor.

Well I just watched the SATC epi with her in it and she is going backwards in the acting dept. She was sooooo muc more emotive there.
Not a Kat Dennings fan. Her face bothers me. Although she looks nice in that photo. Maybe her expressions bother me.

I agree with Rita. On the show, it's like those two are about to spontaneously combust together! This real-life situation they're in right now is pretty much what was happening in the plot of the show, so maybe that's why it's being reported. Anyway, I really like Kat; I thought she was great in the 40 Year-Old Virgin.
I like her too and love the show Two Broke Girls, and I especially love Chestnut the horse :)

I was re-reading this and I realized something: the timeline in this story is way off. It's more likely that they met in September, or maybe even August, but not November. The first episode that Nick appeared in aired on October 3rd (thank you IMDB!).
