What in the name of all that is good and holy is Charlyne Yi wearing in the "House" photo?! And what kind of face is that she's making? I still watch the show, but it jumped the shark for me a couple of years ago, frankly. The writers making Foreman CofM was the icing on the cake.
ETA: Really, Portia? A white bra under a black dress, when you know there is going to be flash photography? Sigh ... I miss Better Off Ted. That show was hella funny, and she was soooo good in it!

@Texshan - AMEN about Charlyne! I just don't GET that girl. I know she's supposedly all hipster-geeky-chic or whatever, but I missed "House" all season and caught ONE episode a few weeks ago, and I realized that other than Hugh and Omar, I hadn't really been missing anything at all. UGH.

I only JUST got into the old House reruns. As long as it's in syndication, I'm happy. In fact, I sort of hate the whole week-long waits, season cliff hanger thing.

The old House (before this group of Scooby gang members and Olivia Wilde) was good, if ridiculous. It's just hilarious to watch the show if you work in a hospital and know that NONE OF THAT SHIT would actually happen. Ever. In a million, squillion years.
AKM, I co-sign with you on Yi. She's not a good actress, and that horrible "stereotypical Asian geek" bowl haircut she's been sporting doesn't do her any favors. She's like the female Long Duc Dong (please tell me you know who that is, or else I will cry piteously).

It made me wonder about the blind that said a host of un-identified gender, who seems secure in her looks, actually has had multiple surgeries.

I hadn't realized Sara Gilbert and her former partner (the one she shares children with) had broken up. That's too bad. I hope the kids (she birthed one, her former partner birthed the other) are still being raised together. It's one thing to have a parent move out; to lose your only sibling too would be so hard.
The "Portia deRossi looks different" comment is because she looks healthy. Even after writing about her triumph over an eating disorder a year or so ago, she still looked to be in the midst of it. Now she is very very thin, but not scary skeletal. Good for her.
When Charlyne Yi suddenly was in bit parts on TV shows and commercials and in "Knocked Up" however many years ago that was, I said, Wow, someone is pushing hard for this girl to be famous. She must have a very good agent. I still wonder. I hadn't even realized she was on House until a couple weeks ago (I haven't watched since it left Tuesday night). Someone really wants her to be famous. I hope she learns to portray emotion in the process.

It's one thing to not want to oversexualize young children *gives side-eye to pageant moms* and quite another to worry constantly about whether or not sick people are imaging sick things about the kids--there's no winning that battle, and you'll drive yourself crazy. Let kids be kids and do kid things, and the pedos can just go fuck themselves, right?
OMG Am I the only one who noticed how different Portia De Rossi looks?? I don't see many pix of her, so I always remember how beautiful she is from Arrested Development. She looks markedly different from then. Not older --- her face looks like it's been pulled tighter or injected with too much filler and she doesn't look as pretty. Please Portia just go back to your natural gorgeous self !

House jumped the shark when his behavior got over-the-top ridiculous. And the relationship with Huddy was awful. Just boring. And why was Charlayne Yi ever cast? She reads like an overgrown 10 year old. And they keep pushing this sexual attraction with her character and Chase, which ends up looking like a 10 year old has a hard-on for an adult. Yuck. And I love Hugh Laurie!
Mngodess, I agree with everything you said re: Yi. She looks like a dorky 10 year-old Asian boy, so the idea that she and Chase would have any kind of sexual tension is so laughable that it's turned the corner into Patheticville. But what kills me even more is how bad of an actor she is. I mean, really, truly terrible. Her facial expression never changes, nor does her voice. She's totally monotone.
@mngddess - I do agree with you about the Chase/Yi thing, mostly b/c she comes across kind of asexual.
I love Hugh Laurie too. I think it's a travesty he never won an Emmy for his performance as House.
