RIP Kate.
ReplyDeleteShe also did an arc as Patsy's sister on Absolutely Fabulous.
Wonderful comedic timing.
I read this as Kate Mara died, did a double take.
ReplyDeleteRIP Kate O'Mara
Me too, Vera. Me too. *rubs eyes* I was about to offer Ellen Page refuge from the popos. Glad I don't have to smuggle anyone to Cuba today. RIP Kate O'Mara
DeleteDynasty - now those were the days. Such trash TV but so good. RIP.
ReplyDeleteToo young, RIP
ReplyDeleteMy 4th grade bbf's mom used to tape on the vcr Dallas and Dynasty during our Friday night sleepovers, then we'd make popcorn and homemade french fries and watch them all under an afghan on the sofa and fast forward the commercials.
ReplyDeleteMy 4th grade bff's mom was ahead of her time.
RIP, Kate.
You said it, Violet! What a beauty. RIP.
ReplyDeleteRip
ReplyDeleteShe was so good as Patsy's sister. RIP Kate.
ReplyDeleteShe was also the Rani, Queen of Phantasmagoria, during Colin Baker & Sylvester McCoy's terms as Dr Who. Anyone know if she was related to the Corrs?
ReplyDeleteThose were the days! Dynasty and Falcon Crest. I think Dynasty gave me rich/celeb fascination from watching as a school aged kid. Joan Collins was THE diva betch you loved to hate.
ReplyDeleteRIP Kate, so lovely.
I loved Dynasty! The clothes, the hair, the cat fights. It was trash TV at its best. Was her name Sable on the show? She was a beautiful woman.
ReplyDeleteShe was also in some fantastic old Hammer horror films; Horror of Frankenstein and Vampire Lovers. R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteHer name was Caress on the show. Oh she was a beauty, and she was also great as Patsy's sister on Abfab.
ReplyDeleteWould have liked so see her play the Rani at least one more time. Crap.
ReplyDeleteRIP Patsy's sister Jacks.
ReplyDeleteShe was beautiful.
I too would have loved her to return as The Rani, and yes, one of Hammer's Glamour Girls. I have been a fan since I saw her before I was 5 in an episode of The Persuaders!.
ReplyDeleteRIP Kate, thank you for entertaining so many people.
I would say she was known for many other things than Dynasty. Playing the part of Jackie...Patsy's sister on AbFab....and playing The Rani on Doctor Who. Now those are good parts! ;-)
