Michael Strahan And Nicole Murphy Call It Quits

Citing a lack of time to see each other because of their busy schedules and cross country residences, and totally forgetting to mention all the other people they have each been seeing, Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy have called off their engagement. Michael's people are the one who released the statement so he probably has someone he wants to debut or is going to be debuted for him. Plus, he has to do this thing now because in a few weeks he will be on the west coast every weekend for his NFL duties so one of the excuses in his statement wouldn't make as much sense. I'm also not sure exactly what would keep Nicole Murphy so busy that she couldn't go to NYC every couple of weeks if Michael wanted her there which he doesn't. None of this should come as a surprise. I'm surprised they waited this long to say something.

What I don't get, I mean I do like Michaels personality a lot, but why is every show hiring him? He'll be on 3 shows simultaneously. Weird.

His Hall of Fame induction must be coming up too. Would be awkward to give a speech mentioning your fiance if you knew it was ending. Or not mentioning her if they were still together. Probably smart timing.

I haven't watched daytime TV in ages, but I had a hard time figuring out why they tapped an NFL football player to take Regis's place. Suddenly, this guy is everywhere. Does he have Jerry Maguire for an agent?

I like Michael. He's done a great job transitioning from the NFL. Something so many others struggle with.

I always thought these 2 were more PR, than anything. She lost her divorce money from Eddie. She needed to find someone rich again. This help raise her profile.

@shelly. What do you mean she lost her divorce money? She got 50M. How could she lose that much money? I think it's not the money, she just missed the spotlight and needed a big name. Michael is famous. Maybe she's found someone as famous. I don't think money is an issue.

PS: I think the HOF induction is next week.

I didn't know anything about Nicole Murphy other than she was married to Eddie Murphy forever so I looked her up.

Holy shit. She's 46 years old and she's given birth to five children and wow, she takes good care of herself!

She's really gorgeous, those are some seriously good genes. I mean, her oldest child is 25!

About Eddie Murphy, he had two children out of wedlock early in his relationship with Nicole, including two right around the time she was having one of his babies.

He also had a baby with Melanie Brown a few years ago.

It looks like he settled down with Nicole for a couple of decades .. or at least was discreet.

The man gets around.
