Today's Blind Items - Old Hollywood
#1- For all of his career, this mostly movie actor never got above B-list, although he co-starred in some A+ list movies. He raised eyebrows when his wives began to look the same and he went behind the camera in an attempt to make them bigger names. Especially the last one, who said she was underage when she first met and then married him. Although all of his wives knew (hell, they probably knew right away after he didn't sleep with them!), the public didn't know that he was gay. He got his first movie contract after having sex with his male agent, who "discovered" him after hiring him as an escort for a one-night stand. Towards the end of his life, he hired a male escort and contracted HIV, which his publicists quickly covered up and said he had lung cancer.

The alleged porno actually began circulating when she was still alive! During an off day, she requested to see this film and one of her PR people snagged a copy. @LadyH, that's not new, either. A Hollywood bodyguard claimed he filmed Marilyn in a threesome with JFK and RFK, but wouldn't release it "out of respect for Joe DiMaggio". Whether it's true or not, no one knows, but if he refused to release it, then it would've been during their lifetimes, not released later.

My first thought for number 1 was Chaplin as well, but he just liked them very young, I don't think they all looked alike and he was def A+++ Derek seems to fit.

My first guess for #1 was John Derek because Bo was just 16when they met and not much older when they married. Also, he was really possessive, even giving her the name Bo.
That Marilyn sex tape is not even close to being a blind. Plus, it has been called a fake by everyone who has seen it. Besides, what would she care? She's in her happy place now. She can't be betrayed or hurt anymore.

I read # 1 as Derek all the way.
As far as # 2 goes there are plenty of fake Monroe porns and more than one real one. She was aware of all of them when they were being shot.
The most famous fake (where the actress performs oral) starred a popular Marilyn lookalike who worked at the same time as the real Monroe. It is an obvious fake as the hair/makeup makes her look like Marilyn in her heyday.
The one involving the Kennedys was shot at a mob getaway for the stars on Lake Tahoe. Sinatra was the house act. I've never seen it.
The real McCoy was shot when she was still Norma Jean and married to the sailor. She was trying to make it as a contract girl and was dating Tony Curtis (a favorite fucktoy of gay and bi studioheads and actors). Its about 6 mins long and its her. The premise is a vibrator salesman knocks on her door to ply his wares. Its boring, but its definitly her.
#1 is def John Derrick - it's creepy how the three wives looked so much alike - especially Linda Evans and Bo Derek - like younger versions of each other. He was a B list actor in A movies and did go behind the camera - was very controlling at least of Bo's career.
Ursulla Andress, Linda Evans and Bo Derek could be triplets if they were all the same age. I read this as John Derek and I never, EVER guess a blind correctly. Bo was 15 or 16 when they started dating.
#1 is probably meant to be John Derek (with the lung cancer being there as a fudge), but I'll throw out Doug McClure's name for no other reason than my granny liked The Virginian and he had a LOT of wives, many of whom only lasted a few years.
Landon is only known really, for those of us old enough to remember, for TV (Bonanza, LHOTP and latterly Highway to Heaven which I loved). But he had pancreatic cancer not lung cancer (regardless of where a cancer ends up, it still remains the original cancer. This is important as different cancers behave differently and often need differing treatments).
Steve McQueen was A-list all the way,. He was as big a star as Paul Newman, and got the extra "even up" lines of dialogue in the Towering Inferno to prove it! His lung cancer was definitely caused by asbestos though.
Chaplin could fit to a certain extent, but he was A+++.
It could not be Chaplin in a million years. He got all but one of his wives pregnant, none of them looked remotely alike, Oona never acted in films and he died of old age before AIDS was even a thing.

I think you guys are right. I don't know if it's true, but I think he is the intended blind subject.
Uh - just because there were two children in the Derek/Andress marriage doesn't mean he was the father. I mean, she had a kid by Harry Hamlin - Europeans are a lot less neurotic than we are about stuff like that.

As for his two children, they were from his first marriage, not his marriage to Ursula Andress.
His first marriage was anomalous in two regards - that wife wasn't a statuesque blonde and they had children. Maybe he actually performed with her because he wanted to establish that he was straight, for his career.
