I thought we had had it established that Salomon is pimping her out to pay off her bill.
So they're married and doing it. In Hollywood, this is obviously shocking.
@Betty I think the blind is referring to someone other than her husband as the companion hence the "I'm not sure why she is married"
I read the "part of her marital duties" to mean the companion was her husband. Oh, naive me. But yes, with her being such a, uh, party girl, I'm sure you're right.
I've read she is working off gambling debts to
her husband too by him getting a cut of her escorting fees.
You'd think she'd be sick of doing this for a living by now. I think her 'hubby' gets a cut.
