Not sleeping in the same room is NOT uncommon among married couples -- especially with small kids! Your sleep is constantly being interrupted and sleeping in separate rooms is usually the only way to get the most rest. And, it is NOT as bad as people/media make it out to be.

Agreed, @david! It doesn't automatically mean that the couple is in a state of distress.
Not going to disagree with your last sentence that it's not as bad as people make it out to be, but I'd say that married couples sleeping in separate rooms IS uncommon. Gotta be less than 10%.
And you're right about the kid thing...constant, constant waking. Having your own kids makes you appreciate your parents even more.

and hank is the nanny so he has to get to bed early.
