This former A- list singer in a group who can actually sing despite the abilities of the rest of the group is not getting paid money in her latest fling. Instead she is trading for some items that will let her succeed as a singer again. Plus, she is going to get a ton of good publicity for the fling.

Yeah I don't understand what is her issue. The chick can actually SING better than most acts nowadays, she is VGL but she can't get a record deal or any sort of break. She must have pissed off the wrong Hollywood powerbroker.
Me too, wasn't she proving a point to Cowell when he said she couldn't sing? Then she did a little of Whitney's "I Will Always Love You" I think it was, and killed it. She can definitely sing.
