This always getting a new television show that lasts forever actress who some say is coke mom but really is just friends with her forced the hand of her current show when she would not let her character have a love scene with another woman. Bye bye show.

Couldn't they have had Maura romance a woman or maybe mamma Rizzoli (who would have done a great job)? Maybe Angie was uncomfortable kissing a woman, who knows? The show was fine as is and I really liked the cast. It's a shame if this is the true reason the show was cancelled.
I think Angie is a lot smarter than the producers of the show.
Angie knew that the "Shock and Horror" of her character "coming out" would only last for maybe one more season(?)
Ellen's TV show back when only lasted a season or 2 when she did the same stunt. (even though in real life, everyone knew she was a lesbian. -- Not that there is anything wrong with that!)

She's knows good and damn well a majority of her audience ships Rizzles (Rizzoli & Isles) but now her dumb ass barely even lets them touch anymore. I'm ready for Sasha Alexander to finally move on from this shit show. She's too good for it. This show could've easily gone on several more seasons if Angie allowed this. And for the record, I don't ship it, but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Angie also has a strong following from the Bible belt and the more conservative parts of the country. Playing a lesbian would cause a lot of future work for her to evaporate. She has a fan base and a following, and that base and following wouldn’t like her playing a lesbian.

That said, a couple of things: What other long running shows was she on? Also, this show effectively died when the young African American co-star killed himself. This show had no syndication market, very little international market, and had simply reached the point where it was no longer profitable to continue.
Although I'm not familiar of this "throught" that you speak of, having something shoved down it sounds mighty uncomfortable. And isn't transit public transportation? And are we to believe that we are being force fed hetero-normative values since we see them everywhere, always?

Mariska is another self hating lesbian. As soon as she starts acting gay and it's caught on camera she has to scream at herself STRAIGHT STRAIGHT STRAIGHT. She, like Angie, always fails with the straightness. Neither of them have a straight bone in their bodies.

Since Ellen, there have been several big shows with main lesbian characters that haven't folded because of it - ER, Grey's Anatomy. etc.
She doesn't want to play gay for religious reasons, or because of her right wing fan base. It's her choice.
