This foreign born I can’t believe she is still single this long after her marriage split needs a new franchise since her last one went the way of her marriage. The other night she got into an argument with some 20 something actress who has replaced her in the movies and the bedroom and the 20 something actress was left embarrassed when our A-/B+ lister trash talked her and her actions in front of a group of people.

Didn't sleeping around benefit Kate when she was younger?
I always thought there would not have been a franchisee for her without a roll in the sack.

It's far more gracious to step aside when it's someone else's turn instead of coming off as desperate & bitter. I've done it - it works out well.

She's bitter.
She remembers what power/value youth/beauty has because she for a long time benefited off of it. It must be really hard for gorgeous women to get old - harder than normal, average looking women that is. They know the power they had and they can really feel when they lose it.

well, if 20-something was flinging with Kate's husband while he and Kate were still married, then Kate had the right to tear into her. I'm sure she already shredded him on several occasions.
No reason to "hate on" younger folks because their time is now, and our time has passed. We all get one chance at each age. But I agree, it's tough for women who only had their looks going for them. Perhaps they should have developed more skills, so they aren't so empty and bitter now.
This isn't a good look for Kate, I thought she was a bit more classy and demure than this (irrespective of what the other woman has done).

First, you make it sound like being a woman in Hollywood is simply a commodity and why should you even think twice when a younger actress gets parts because of her youth instead of her ability. Shame. Let's keep in mind that Kate is freaking gorgeous and is actually a good actress despite those stupid franchise movies she does for the money. Like in "Love & Friendship," do you think the fanboys are going to drop a dime on a period drama about manners despite the rave reviews? She's smart, perhaps too smart to be in Hollywood, but the bigger point is she's GOOD and she proves it especially in less commercial projects. As we've seen recently, about anyone can be a superhero in the movies and the studios make money.
Second, it sounds like Kate was simply finishing the argument and wasn't the one to start it. Let me know how you feel the next time you get looked over for something simply because you're older, maybe not as slim as you used to be, somehow less attractive. Let me know how polite you'll be when some child is talking down to you about your work. Or when you significant other cheats on you with someone more beautiful, let me know how polite you'd be about them.
Agree. Good lord, 41 is old?? Her love interest in a movie would be 80, because Hollywood is a world of pedophile Woody Allens getting 21 year olds in the movies (and 8-14 year olds in real life). John Cusack is right, Hollywood is a whorehouse and people go mad.

I haven't seen any young actresses who are anywhere near as pretty as Kate is now.
Kate is a very good actress. Never mind her hubby left her for a 20-something model. I might be a little bitter for a while too. I have to say I'm not a fan of the fillers she's put in her face. Looks terrible. A little Botox here and there and that's all she needs. She would be more gorgeous without the fillers. I worked in the industry for a few years and I can totally understand the frustration with the superficial aspect to it. Very sad way to live.
