Blind Item #9
This blind would actually be a good one for the big blind of the day. But, I wanted to get it out before Monday because it is really juicy. So, this former A list mostly movie actor who royally screwed up one franchise but still has another one where he is tied for second banana with two other actors is running a brothel out of his house. Despite all of the gay/bisexual rumors, our actor certainly has a reputation for loving strippers and other women who make their living in sexual ways. Now, he has taken his love for those women and his need for money and combined them. They are based out of his house and Hollywood men come over and enjoy the women and some time in the guest house. The actor's long time significant other/bff takes care of enforcement and money.

Renner?? Screwed up Bourne, second banana in Mission Impossible with Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames. I think he's more like 3rd tier in Marvel. Not heard much about strippers, but the gay rumors obviously.
This is so funny. Too many tips about Jeremy Renner has finally turned deeply closeted to gay/bisexual rumors and significant other/bff. I know exactly where Enty got this story and the bit about running a brothel is an added extra to make it more scandalous. Renner does have a thing for strippers and slutty looking types though, that is undeniable.
That makes a lot of sense. So there's not really a brothel, lol. The site has become wildly imaginative, also undeniable. Thanks for sharing.
It doesn't seem odd at all. Hollywood is all about hookers. They are everywhere, basically anyone with a guest house could pull this off.
You're welcome. Renner has had a woman staying at his house for a couple of weeks and she had a friend over last weekend. They both dress slutty and the friend is all silicone. Both of them are a bit too free with their instagram posts, but aside from showing that they are staying at his home there is nothing else to it; just lounging about and going out in the evening. You have to know what you are looking at to know it is his house and you don't see him or anyone else clearly. So, as I said, the brothel bit has just been plucked out of thin air. I will give Enty a bit of a break though, he must be delighted to have tapped into a genuine source of gossip about someone as shut down as Renner, but he can't just say he has women staying with him when he has pushed the Renner is gay! gay! gay! for years, so now he is bisexual and a brothel keeper.
Except that Ted C lost his job at E! for outing Renner. Enty's not the only gossipmonger who claims Renner is gay, so there is that.
This could have been a perfect fit for Charlie Sheen, too, but not mostly movies.
Ted C may have lost his job for saying that someone who might be called Jeremy was seen leaving a party with a man. No PDA just walking out the door. Gossipmongers are lazy, they jump on bandwagons and make stuff up. Enty didn't find this information, online ferrets, including myself, made all the links over several years that put us in a position to identify people involved and understand the cryptic messages between friends. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone passed this on, but Enty has proved over and over again that he has no real inside information about Renner. I am sure it is true of other celebrities. By the way, this woman also went on a very private holiday with Renner and his close group of friends in September. The group was a mixture of men and women, including at least one perfectly respectable married, middle aged couple. Not sure how you make the jump from that to pimping her out in his guest house.
Remember when George Clooney was blamed for screwing up the first Batman franchise? But his last franchise was Ocean's 11 and its sequels, which has been over for years. So it couldn't be him.
where it doesnt fit is that Renner isn't in need of money by any means. He's doing great financially and career wise.

So Renner is former A now & in need of money? He was A- recently. So what Oscar -nominated "Arrival" & producing "The Founder" dropped him down? It all seems like a reach.
If I remember correctly, Ted C said the two male stars on a movie that was being filmed at the time were also hooking up. Then either further down in that blind or in a follow up blind to it, Ted goofed, and instead of naming him by the usual moniker he used for him, called him Jeremy. Readers put 1 + 1 together, and realized that Renner was filming with Tom Cruise at the time, so he apparently and unwittingly outed both Renner and Cruise in one fell swoop. Cruise/Scientology is probably who pursued Ted over that and cost him is job. It really sucked too because Ted was always my favorite go-to blind item source. Still miss him.
@austen,you are correct,Ted C always used the same moniker for people,unless a blind was revealed. There were major rumors about Jeremy and Tom, and this went through many gossip blogs. The one that put Jeremy's name in was rather innocuous, but you could follow related blinds that used his nickname. I never thought about Tom Cruise being behind Ted's departure, that could be true, since he has gone after others. Ted was about ready to hang it up though,I don't think he enjoyed putting out the fake Twilight blinds.
@ Guesser.. Ted C's blind item page was unique in it's approach and always such fun, UNTIL the Twilight franchise with it's Edward and Bella shippers showed up - you got that right. That crowd was insane - so intensely invested in Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart being a real couple off screen like their very lives depended on it . It's a perfect example of why I don't fault actors who prefer to keep their fan bases at arm's length, because there are equal numbers of both rational and irrational fans out there to be sure, and there's no reasoning with or controlling the irrational ones.
Vin Diesel. Screwed up XXX and is now just a co-star of the Rock in the Fast and Furious franchise.
I never heard what had him axed but that all works. Surprise with his personality and name recognition someone didn't employ him either on TV or as an internet head of a gossip site? I miss him too for his goofy pseudonyms and over-the-top blinds. He had flair and a need to go low when everyone else was going high!
@nursermk, I think he was paid not to work directly in the entertainment world, he has an art museum he runs, and is active on Twitter. I commented months ago when Enty claimed Remmer was coming out that Ted C could go back to work. I should say it was assumed to be him. For anyone who thinks the gossip blogs made up the Remmer is gay story, I first heard it after a little incident in Asia happened, and it was a reported news story. It seemed to disappear rather quickly.
Renner was present during an incident in Thailand. He was on Holiday with another guy and two women. On their last night the resort manager took all four of them out for some local nightlife. The resort manager got into a fight with bar staff and six local men were charged with attempted murder. It was reported in the press and the inevitable blind that followed said it was in a gay bar (not true, easy to check) and the attackers were pimps who were after Renner because he hadn't paid for his ladyboy. This was a big story in Thailand because the resort manager was a rich socialite. The bar was crowded and there were a lots of witnesses and lots of chatter on news sites and social media. There was some concern that the local men would not be treated fairly because the victim had an influential father, but no mention of Renner being part of the argument in any way. Local gay sites discussed it and laughed that if Renner was gay he must have got confused by the names because none of the places he was seen in were gay bars. This is probably why the story disappeared so quickly, because, beyond the fact that Renner was in the room somewhere, there was nothing of interest outside Thailand. This was the very first story on Renner that I did a fact check on and, believe me, it was easy to call BS.
@karen, I guess you did your research, personal ly I don't care if he is or isn't,but this was where the rumors started, not with Ted C or Enty. Follow up stories never get the coverage of original stories, so rumors about him and others,will follow them forever. Just ask Richard Gere.

I've done a lot of checks on Renner gossip. The only thing that seems to be true is that he and Kristoffer Winters have been extremely close for most of their adult lives, they are together a lot and WInters is treated by everyone as part of Renner's extremely close and very large family. It is also true that Renner does like strip clubs,party girls and jumping from one hook up to another. There is no evidence outside of that that he is gay and there certainly isn't any evidence that he is running a brothel, unless you assume that a woman who likes to party and doesn't dress demurely must be a hooker and any man who spends time with her must be paying her for sex and hiring her out to his friends.
Renner is very intelligent over money matters. He's also pretty low key. I've never heard him going on multi-million dollar spending splurges. It's unlikely, when he's now worth $60 million or so I've read, that he would be short on money.
