I do not get her appeal at all.
She is on some billboards here for some fashion house and she looks so trashy with these nasty ass tattoos everywhere, some stupid smirk on her face.
The only reason she is famous is cuz she was born into MONEY.
i remember seeing cara in the asos online catalog. couldnt BELIEVE when she became famous....and a famous model considering she is a solid 5'7 tall. she WAS born into serious money and Im not surprised at all that led to a ....'quick ascent'

So she needs meth to forget her awful life of jetsetting around, partying, and living 1st class. How awful for her. How do they do it??
Its not money, its family connections. Cara's older sister (Poppy) was a model before her. Her godfather is Condé Nast (i.e. the company that owns Vogue) executive Nicholas Coleridge and her godmother is actress Joan Collins.

You are so right. I miss my gorgeous supermodels of yesteryear. Where is Christy Turlington or Claudia Schiffer when you need them?
They've been airbrushing models' skin/bodies forever. Today, they have much more advanced techniques.
But, whatever.
I'll be the other opinion. A year or two ago she had some flattering covers/looks. If she has a drug issue that would be a shame, her mother battled addiction for years. Cara was just in a Rimmel commercial on TV. The new grey tone hair shade, meh.
I think her parents are rich, and that's how she gets work. Cara's looking more and more like Taryn Manning by the day.
If you are interested in present day models and how they got that way, I highly recommend Michel Gross's books: MODEL-The Ugly Business of Beautiful Women and his latest book: Focus-The Secret, Sexy, Sometimes Sordid World Of Fashion Photographers. They are both great reads. Not something you can finish in a day or two. Lots of historical facts. They started off so wholesome!!
