Apparently, the lawyer of the A lister was going broke and up to his eyeballs in gambling debt and was being hounded by the mob and also had some type of hooker addiction. He knew if the A lister were dead, that he would be in line for huge fees to manage the estate plus a nice big fat lump sum almost as soon as the body was cold.
