Gary Dourdan Files For Bankruptcy

You would think being on a show for nine years on a hit network show would provide you with some type of financial stability, but not if you are the legally and personally challenged Gary Dourdan. The former CSI actor has filed for bankruptcy and says that he only has $321 in disposable income despite a monthly salary of $15,000. The actor says he is filing for bankruptcy to try and save his home from foreclosure. If you are wondering where all of his money went, it presumably went up his nose. When you are on a show for nine years and have only $3K in your bank account, you did something with the money. He chose to do drugs with his money.

Gary Dourdan Faces Foreclosure

Another reason to not do drugs is that you end up spending your money on things you put up your nose and not in the place you live. According to TMZ, Gary Dourdan faces foreclosure on his Venice Beach house he bought back in 2004. Back then, times were good for Gary and he probably believed he would have no problems paying off his nearly $1M mortgage. Well, some really bad decisions and a lack of work have left him owing his bank over $60K and now they want his house.

I Didn't Do It Changes To Guilty Plea

Gary Dourdan has plead guilty to possessing cocaine and Ecstasy, but had a heroin possession charge dropped in exchange for a guilty pleas. Of course he won't serve any jail time because that would be wrong, and in fact the charges will be dropped as long as he completes his probation and a treatment program. Not rehab mind you, but a treatment program. Rehab would mean admitting that he was addicted to drugs, and just because someone has a car loaded with drugs and is sleeping on the side of the highway should in no way be considered as having a problem with drugs.

Hell, until the guilty plea today, Gary was adamant that he was innocent and that none of the drugs belonged to him.

"I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative."

Ummm. Yeah. Don't worry. For those of you who think Gary deserved some jail time, there is no way this guy can make it through probation without screwing up. Do I wish him ill will? Of course not, but to send out e-mail after e-mail and tell any reporter who would listen that the drugs weren't his and on and on and on, and then do a 180 and plead guilty, just doesn't sit right with me.

The only reason he changed his story was he realized he wasn't going to win and didn't want to be convicted of three felonies and spend some time behind bars. This way he can be out and about driving with the rest of the population.

You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

You know I was prepared to let the whole Gary Dourdan drug arrest just slide on by without making a comment. I mean he isn't going to be on CSI next season, and judging by his past behavior, his career would just end up going nowhere. Not wanting to take the time to discuss a guy who isn't going to even be around in a year or so seemed a waste. Then I realized, that a) there was nothing to talk about today, and b) the guy made me laugh really, really hard.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Dourdan said the drugs found in the car weren't his. Well, hmm. Let's see. Gary was in the car alone. Parked on the wrong side of the road asleep. When the police searched the car they found coke, heroin, ecstasy, and other prescription drugs. If it didn't belong to Gary, then he left some people mighty pissed back at Coachella.

I might be more likely to believe Gary if the entire cast had not come out and said how grateful they were that Gary was finally getting some help or if he had got his contract renewed. Gary. You need to fess up. Quotes such as "I am planning events to get the word out that you don’t need a bunch of nasty chemicals to have a good time. Just good friends, family, good music and a good honest spirit full of faith," might make your daughter believe you a little, but to the rest of the world you look like an idiot. Why don't you grow up so you can enjoy the rest of your life with your daughter.
