Nick Hogan On Nightline

I'm not sure what possessed Nightline producers to want to interview Nick Hogan, but they did for tonight's show. I have only seen a summary of the interview but have not actually viewed it so I don't know if his words come off more remorseful when he is speaking or not.

When I saw that he was on Nightline I was fully prepared to slam him and his family, but with the exception of one thing, I think he said the right things. Never in the summary at least do I read any kind of apology for what he did to his friend. He says he was reckless and stupid and that he thinks about it everyday, but he never actually says he is sorry. The family already settled the lawsuit so there is no reason not to apologize. If it were me, I would be saying sorry every five seconds for eternity.

In the interview, Nick says he has changed and has even started an organization to stop street racing. I need to watch this tonight before I make up my mind. I do believe in forgiveness, but it is really hard to forgive this guy after the way he handled all of this. Below is a preview.

Nick Hogan Haunted By Prison - I'm Haunted By His Sister

Nick Hogan must have needed some walking around money this week because he opened his big mouth and decided to go ahead and give John Graziano a good swift kick in the ass.

Nick spoke wot Life & Style about his time behind bars. Yes, that is how he refers to it. Like he is some kind of f**king lifer who gets thrown back inside every year or so. The little bastard spent six months in jail and spent most of it on the phone with his dad trying to get a reality show deal so when I see things like this quote it really, really pisses me off.

"There are moments that haunt me to this day. There are times when I'll be watching a prison movie and hear the sound of a gate slamming, and I get the willies. It was horrible."

It was six months in minimum security. It's over. John Graziano is home now, but is a vegetable for the rest of his life. I bet he would love to have had his nightmare be over in six months but it is going to go on forever. I know Nick served his time and I am willing to stop talking about but not when he makes idiotic statements like this in an attempt to make us feel sorry for him. Where in the f**k was the question from Life & Style about when he saw John last or talked to his family? Huh?

"Time away from my family was the most difficult part of my sentence. One of the things which makes you feel comforted is talking to a family member. But you don't have a phone - you have to wait until it's your time of the day to call. You miss being able to connect with people because everyone there is just cold, just brutal."

Uh huh. Do you think John can talk to his own family? And think of the f**king sacrifice Nick made. He didn't have his own phone and had to wait in line. F**k. I need a drink.

How Does Nick Hogan Have $130K Sitting Around?

In another example of how the world is completely out of whack, Nick Hogan somehow had $130K that he could afford to invest in a record company. TMZ is reporting that Nick filed suit against two guys who look like they defrauded Nick out of some money. Nick and the two guys were supposed to each invest $50K in a record company and if it didn't work out everyone would get their money back. Well, The two guys didn't put up any money and kept Nick's. According to the court papers, Nick also says the pair ran up another $80K on his American Express card without his permission, and so he is suing for $130K.

First of all how did the guys get your AMEX card? Is this some kind of Courtney Love thing where people use her cards for months and she never knows? I think the most important question here is where in the hell did Nick Hogan get $130K? Even if you say he didn't have the $80K charged on his AMEX that still leaves Nick with enough money where he was willing to throw down $50K on a gamble. He doesn't even have a job. Is this money left over from VH-1? How much did they give him? Also, I'm guessing if AMEX let him run up $80K without saying anything that he probably has spent that much before in a month.

There are so many good people in this world who didn't leave their friends paralyzed and a vegetable in a hospital who don't make $130K in 5 years and this pimple just blows through it like it is nothing. It is when you realize how much money some celebrities have for doing absolutely nothing but being a waste of space it can make you sick.

The Hogan Family Saga Just Keeps Getting Better

Watching the Hogan family is like having a Jerry Springer episode every week. I don't need one everyday, but once a week is fantastic. As always, I predicate every Hogan story with the hope they all end up bankrupt because they had to pay John Graziano every penny they have.

In this week's edition, Linda fought back against the claims made by her hairstylist last week that Linda uses most of her alimony for drugs. The interesting thing is the fighting back didn't say anything about Linda and her alleged drug use. Nope. It all was about the fact that Hulk possibly paid off the hairstylist for her testimony. How did she get paid? You are going to love this. Hulk paid the hairstylist $3500 with a check made out to the hair stylist's sister. The check was alleged to be a payoff AND hair extensions for Hulk's girlfriend AND Hulk. He needs to get his money back because it looks awful.

Hulk's people denied it was a payoff and said it was only for the hair extensions. Hulk gets hair extensions? Have you ever seen worse extensions in your life?

Brooke weighed in as well. On Tuesday she was on Bubba The Love Sponge and actually didn't talk about pole dancing for daddy or her new moves they worked on, but rather how horrible her mother is.

"We were only close (before) because I didn’t know any different … I think this person she is was always there. It’s a psychological thing, it comes down to she didn’t have a settled home life growing up … deep down inside she’s still not happy," Brooke said before breaking down in tears. "She has bitten the hand that fed her. It hurts so bad because she doesn’t know me. She doesn’t know how fun I am, my favorite color, my best friends or what my house looks like. She doesn’t know any of that."

Umm. Brooke. Did you get a new favorite color and best friend in the last six months? Were you not fun your whole life until six months ago? This whole family is beyond any kind of rationality. The only thing that sucks about all this is that I fear the couple is going to burn through every penny they have on legal fees related to their divorce and John Graziano isn't going to have anything left for him. That is the real shame in all of this.

John Graziano's Dad Doesn't Like His Wife

I hope that all of you remember John Graziano, but for those of you who don't, he is the man who was left in a vegetative state for the remainder of his life because Nick Hogan decided to drink and drive and speed. Of course according to the Hogan family none of it was Nick's fault and John should have been wearing a seat belt, but let's not rehash old memories, especially since the Hogan's finally seem to be running out of their 15 minutes.

Anyway, if you will recall, John's parents got into a big argument about who should take care of John and handle all the money that was going to be coming his way. The couple were separated and you could see the dollar bills just clanging in John's dad's eyes.

So, today, John's dad was arrested for attempting to solicit a hit man to kill his wife. Wow. Yeah, that divorce process must not be smooth sailing. I mean you are already splitting up. Killing her just seems to be adding insult to injury.

Want to know the freakiest part? The one that will make you squirm? According to TMZ, he wanted the hit man to make it look like she got killed in an auto accident. That's just sick.

Nick Hogan Getting Out Early

I appreciate all of you sending me e-mails and notes that Nick Hogan is getting out of jail early. How early? About three months early. In just about three weeks from now on October 21st, Nick will be done serving his sentence. John Graziano still can't do anything for himself. You may think I would take this opportunity to snark, but I'm not. Nick is in the justice system and they have rules and he behaved so he gets out early.

I actually think Nick will be good for a couple of weeks when he gets out, but then he will do something stupid and I will be right here, ready to trash him some more. But, I do want to emphasize that Nick is young, and was young when this happened. Was he conceited? Absolutely. A jerk? Yep. But the fact is he was just 17 and I would gather lots of us did idiotic things when we were 17, some of which may have got someone killed or injured but we just happened to get lucky. If we were 17 and the child of a celebrity and used to getting our own way, we might have been a-holes as well.

The reason I have been so angry throughout this entire process is because of the way the Hogan family acted, and how they put all the blame on John and that Nick could do no wrong. I just thought the attitude from the entire Hogan clan was despicable. That was my beef with the whole thing. It still is. The sentence is what it is and the kid will have served his time. Lets see if he learned anything from it or if he goes back to the same boorish behavior. He better know that we will all be watching.

Hey Guess What? What? Prison Ain't The Four Seasons

Below this, are the first transcripts from some of Nick Hogan's phone calls from jail. Nick Hogan is finding out that jail isn't exactly like home. Wow Nick. I really didn't think you were that dumb, but apparently you are. Jail isn't supposed to be fun, and it isn't summer camp. But, the good news for you is that you just have 8 months of misery. John Graziano? 50 years maybe. Depending on how his body holds out. So, when you sit there in your cell each and every day thinking of stuff, think about John. Transcripts and reporting is courtesy of ABC News.

Nick Bollea: "Had I known this, I would have rather gone to trial or I would rather, you know, appeal the case or something. I can't deal with this for eight months. It's (Bollea's cell) like the size of my bathroom."

Linda Bollea: "Oh!"

Nick: "No windows or nothing. Just one little top bed thing."

Linda: "Oh my God!"

Bollea is being kept in a single cell at the Pinellas County Jail because he is one of only two minors serving time in the adult facility. On the phone, he cries often and is comforted by his mother Linda.

Nick: "All you do is sit there and think, and there's nothing to think about."

Linda: "We'll get through it."

Nick: "Yeah."

Linda: "Prove to everyone you've learned your lesson and be more careful."

To date, Bollea has spent an average of two hours on the phone per day.

On Wednesday Hulk congratulated him on his time served so far.

Terry Bollea: "I'm very proud of you brother. Very, very proud of you. You've been thrown in a tough spot and you've handled it better than I could have probably handled it. Any man I know. You've really been somebody to look up to."

Somebody to look up to? Well compared to Hulk Hogan, that might actually be true.

Nick Hogan Not Fighting Charges

TMZ is reporting that Nick Hogan is going to court tomorrow and is going to with plead no contest or guilty to felony reckless driving. The charge was a result of Nick Hogan racing another car and then crashing his own car and leaving his passenger John Graziano in a permanent vegetative state.

There was no deal involved and basically Nick Hogan will be throwing himself on the mercy of the court. Hey, it is a stand up move, and spares the entire family months of bad publicity that would come with an attempt to fight the charges.

Obviously I hope they are doing it because it is the right thing to do and not because they figured out they had no realistic chance of winning. This also makes the civil suit filed by the Graziano family almost a done deal as well since the standard of proof is much lower in a civil case.

Nick Hogan faces up to five years in jail, but I would imagine that the judge will not give him the full amount because he is coming in and pleading, and not attempting to fight the charges.
