I think the interesting questions to be asked in the Ryan O'Neal arrest are, (a) what is a 42 year old man doing still living at home, (b) what is Griffin O' Neal doing procreating, (c) why does a brief bio of Tatum O' Neal have to be included in the article, but if so, how come they do not mention that Ryan forced her to watch he and Melanie Griffith doing the nasty or allegedly even making her join in. See, that would be more relevant to a discussion of an arrest for assault, than the fact that she was in movies with him. As much as I think Ryan O'Neal is a jerk, I think Griffin is probably at least as worse if not more so.

back in the day, griffen o'neal provided much gossip fodder for the national enquirer, especially after the accidental death of gio coppola. he's been old enough to accept blame for his antics, but i'm sure ryan didn't exactly give him or tatum the tools needed for being responsible adults.
Griffen and Tatum are products of their dad's (Ryan) substance addiction. As children, they learned at their father's knee to be substance abusers. They have arrested development, and don't know how to cope appropriately in the outside world. That is an explanation, not an excuse.
Be that as it may, everyone chooses how they behave -- and they have made the same bad choices over the years. Griffen lives with his dad so that they can enable each other to continue to indulge their habits.
I have little sympathy for substance abusers like Griffen. As an ACOA, I can tell you that many people grew up like he did; unlike Griffen, we choose to lead a sane, responsible life -- and he could, too.
You guys explained it beautifully. I was just going to say "NO HOME TRAINING"
Fireplace Poker, Handgun, and a Pregnant Woman.
Sounds like a game show question!

Wait, Ryan O was the original Papa Joe? What is this 3some w/Tatum & Melanie story? That's sick.
Tatum is crazy.
It's like a Springer episode...it doesn't make anyone want to aspire to be in that family.
