Now though, she takes what she can get and spends the rest of the time trying to manage the mess of her personal life brought on by her really bad decisions and loyalty. She also is the cause of a marriage breaking up as she has been seeing a married man for years and years, although you will never hear the wife say one bad thing about it.

Gillian's being schtupped by David, and Tea never cared.
Gillian is not forced to take anything she can get. She gets pretty much what she wants, theatre or film, in England, VERY respected there.

@auntliddy Where is the talk about Duchovny having sole custody of the kids? I remember hearing that he had temporary custody a few years back during a rough patch for his ex but that it was just that. Temporary. Plus, the kids are with her more than not. Is that the gossip going around?
Enty doesn't get BBC America and avoids literary adaptations like the plague. She's one of the queens of British TV costume dramas and has been for a while now.
I never got X Files. I never though Gillian was all that. I remember Tea having a nice butt back in the day. Duchovny must be a friggin Mack, cause he got 2 broads putting up with him boning anything with a heartbeat. I guess they are sympathetic to the sex addiction disease he has. There is no magic pill for some afflictions, just a lifetime of struggling.

@auntliddy Duchovny has custody of his kids because Leoni is wacko. As simple as that. Haven't you noticed why everytime she's seen with the kids there's another adult around? And they don't air their dirty public because they agreed not as part of the divorce. Yes, they are divorced.
Leoni doesn't say anything because she knows that if she speaks, Duchovny will come out and speak back and reveal things about her. It's simple, it doesn't benefit none of the parties. And yes, Anderson and Duchovny have been together for years. She made up a relationship with Griffiths to cover up for her real relationship with Duchovny.
I know they are divorced. I did wonder about custody deal tho. Glad they putting kiids ahead of their personal issues.

Good news it was renewed for a second season. While I love the Brits will only make a few amazing episodes a season. Really, really wanted a few more episodes.
I'm with you @timebob. The season was way too short! Already pining away for series 2. Speaking of good brit tv, just finished the 3rd series of Luther. Now Idris Elba would turn me into a sex addict, for sure.
@count - I always thought Gillian was like fine wine, she definitely has aged well, imo. I think there were also many a rumor she was/is a freak in the sheets. As for David Duchovny being a sex addict, never bought it. I still think it was a cover for his relationship with Gillian.

I thought DD and TL divorced a couple years ago and had previously separated before because of his "sex addiction" problem? This isn't a new rumor and I'm not sure why TL would speak out about it now.
As much as I'd love them to be an occasional couple (she isn't moving from UK, her young sons' dad lives there) this is just more crap with no hint of a source. Enty has revealed a few blinds on them already as supposedly being together, why keep doing more on an already "revealed " couple?! For clicks. In 20 yrs there isn't 1 pic of them.

But what strikes me as the worst is if those two little boys are Duchovny's how could he not acknowledge them as his kids? I am no fan of his but he is such a hands on father to the two he has with Leoni, what could possibly cause him not to publicly just come out and admit the truth?

I want to know about the "loyalty" comment. Loyal to Duchovny and that relationship? Call me naive but maybe the sexual stuff has been over and now they're just friends. How many here believe that emotional intimacy is about as bad as sex? I know it would fry me.

Gillian and David had so much chemistry on the X Files that I am not surprised they're hooking up in real life. I wonder if they will do a Kickstarter to make a third movie.

I don't give a damn about their off-screen relationship. That said, Duchovney & Anderson were the embodiment of sizzle on-screen, especially in the early years of X-Files. As for the takes anything she can get nonsense, nothing could be further from the truth. Maybe she's a colossal pain in the ass or she treats people like shit otherwise in real life, and that's why Enty was being so snide in that comment. She's a great actor, and in the end, that's all that should really matter to anyone who isn't in her real life.
@Damocles: at some point it is going to come out. The kids are little now but there will come a day when they will be seen in public with their parents. It's just cruel to keep living this fiction. Both actors are well respected and frankly, past the first bloom of youth. Can't imagine why grown ups would make the choice to live such a public lie.

@Damocles: there are way worse things celebrities do all the time than admit they fell in love with someone they had unbelievable onscreen chemistry with. A simple announcement and plea for privacy will put this, if not to bed, then at least stop the lying. I hope they are counseled to just come out and do the right thing. It will be hard in the short term but much better long term.

She was nominated for a BAFTA a couple of years ago and has been nominated for other critic awards since. Just because she chooses to do a majority of her acting in her home country does NOT mean she's forced to take anything she can get. She pretty much can have any role she wants and regularly turns down American production roles.
Agree with the Count - Gillian is nothing special and don't understand why people into her- I assume just Xfile fans.
I was a huge X-Files fan, especially in the early years, and thought she was gorgeous and talented. But I'm pretty skeptical about this whole rumor. Why in God's name would they bother covering this up? Is this such a huge scandal that their careers would be forever shattered? I doubt that. Fans would cheer and non-fans would say "Huh?" Really, this is 2013!

@Tru she didn't:) She actually got mad at the press for twisting her words. Actually, I think she ultimately spoke of her sexuality to keep the media off her relationship with Duchovny. But then it got out of hand and had to clarify it.

I've seen a picture of Gillian's sons (some jerk posted a hacked-from-facebook photo on tumblr) and the eldest one looks exactly like Mark Griffiths (strange that, huh). The other one is the spitting image of Gillian. No hint of Duchovny's features in either of them, thank goodness.
Also, The Fall was fabulous. Cannot wait for season 2.

Damocles, there is no way Duchovny fathered any of Gillian's children. Her boys look like a mixture of her and Griffiths and Piper looks like a mixture of her and Clyde Clotz.

Considering Duchovny's (real) children favor him quite strongly looks-wise, don't you think Gillian's kids would have even the slightest resemblance to him? But nope, not one physical similarity exists between them.

Forget about GA's kids, what happened to her second marriage? That was all hushed up and next you know she's pregnant and not by her husband! She had some elaborate wedding in South Africa to a journalist, but it was over before it began. I do believe GA has major problems in her romantic life, but not so sure I believe she has had multiple children by DD.

There were rumors that GA's second husband was abusive. She became anorexic-looking and was taken to hospital after "falling" down the stairs in their home. She also suffered an ectopic pregnancy and multiple miscarriages while they were trying for kids. Shortly after GA got pregnant with Mark Griffiths, second hubby was expecting a child of his own with a new girlfriend.
You could say that the stress of miscarriage and other pregnancy complications made GA look ill and the marriage doomed to failure, but the domestic abuse rumors were pretty persistent after the stair incident.

I thought she fell down the stairs because she was drinking again. She was dry for years, but started drinking heavily again. Maybe it was the second hubby. I can't find pics of her kids to weigh in on that, but I always thought her first pregnancy and the timing was very weird. She never let her first kid be photographed when she had her either.
I'll say it again, the three kids are Duchovny's. Don't you think that's enough to keep a low profile? These are HW people, the image is something huge for them. Besides, there are lots of things in writing that can't be skipped. She was seeing Duchovny in 2005. Draw your own conclusions as to why she was having trouble with her then husband. She met MG in 2006, not 2005, and that was to cover for her relationship with Duchovny.

considering she's lived in the UK for years, I don't think it's David. Unless their hookups have been very infrequent over the last couple of years, it's more likely she is screwing somebody in the UK.

I admittedly like this story because who wasn't a fan of David and Gillian in the 90's? But I don't believe it's true and I don't believe in the validity of Enty's blind items. I think they're fun for the most part but not true.
