Paulina Porizkova Doesn't Have An Ego Problem
Paulina Porizkova was on Craig Ferguson last night and told the world she had been fired from ANTM due to budget cuts and the fact that Paulina has a huge ego. Uh huh. I think the person that has the huge ego is Tyra Banks. I think what she does is she rids herself of any person on the show who in any way threatens her popularity. Paulina had just finished her third season. Viewers were getting used to her and her popularity was increasing. If it got too big then she might get her own show and then Tyra would have competition. So, they tell her something about the credit crunch and also her ego to make her feel worse. And to really drive the knife deep they do all of this on her birthday. Yay Tyra!!!!
On her birthday? You know they knew what day her birthday was. Not that Tyra cares about any holidays unless it involves her getting presents in bunches. She also hates any holidays where she is expected to spend or care about any other person on the planet but herself.
Does Paulina have an ego? Sure. Everyone has an ego. But it isn't any worse than anyone you know. For being the super model of supermodels for such a long time and all those record breaking contracts she is extremely down to earth. Hell, she married Ric Ocasek. That should tell you something right there. The guy couldn't get a date and the next thing you know he is married to Paulina when she was at her peak. I think she was a teenager when they got together.
This is just Tyra being Tyra. Plus, she knows Clay Aiken will work for a pittance and be grateful for the money.

I think Tyra has turned into a shady F**. She's bee hanging with the Jays too long. This is typical behavior I've seen in the gay community. And on Paulina's birthday ads extra flair. She'll get hers. I would rather watch Paulina any day. Hope she gets her own show.
I hope Paulina gets her own show and shows Tyra how to share the small screen with other models. I hope it focuses on REAL models with actual potential too. Tired of Tyra's candidates. Canada's Next Top Model is awesome though!
You know, I never watched American Idol but I thought Clay's ANTM appearance this season was very charming. The guy is totally likable :) So's Paulina, though. I thought she was great on the show and it's no surprise that Diva Tyra doesn't want anyone else stealing her spotlight!
i dunno... I kinda liked Twiggy better. This was the first season I watched with paulina and I just felt like she's wayyy too cruel with some of her little comments... she likes tearing down the girls self-esteeem and rubbing the insults in like salt in a wound.
I could care less that she's leaving. I'm sure if i was a model on the show she'd feel the same about my departure (she never seemed to really genuinely LIKE any of the models) so why defend her?
I loved Paulina on ANTM. I would follow her to another show or another network.
Tyra kills me. The posters of her all over the models' apartment, for example. And the judges she surrounds herself with--they seem to have far bigger egos than Paulina.
I like the Bravo show, Make Me a Supermodel, better.
Paulina was great on the show...sarcastic & funny as hell. In a clever way.
All Twiggy ever said was "I quite loike it"
And all Janice ever said was "She's fat!"
Paulina was the best thing to happen to the show since Janice. I'm just surprised Tyra took this long to fire her.

If Tyra ever gets rid of Ms. J that show is over!
I think Mr and Ms Jay are both safe, as well as "NOTED FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER NEIL BARKER". Unless they quit to go do their own thing, which they very well might.
I like Paulina on the show, though. She can be critical and honest, but without being hurtful or over the top.
What can I say, I am a fan of that stupid show and I can't stop watching it, and I will probably watch the next cycle too. For SHORT models!

ITA, Make Me a Super Model is a much better show.
Paulina guided the models through a segment where they had to samba while having their picture taken. It was cute, but I couldn't believe Tyra would let Paulina have so much camera time. Tyra probably knew Paulina was being kicked to the curb.
Nigel is my fave and he doesn't get nearly enough camera time!
Tyra: "Okay ladies, here's your next challenge. I have a box in my hands right now containing my turd from this morning. Whoever can eat my shit without grimacing, win's this challenge and gets to drink my pee. Ready? GO!"
Do not like Tyra. She is up there with Paris Hilton in the likeability factor.

Doesn't surprise me at all about Tyra; she DOES after all fancy herself the next Oprah, and a bigger skank than Oprah simply doesn't exist in this world.

Tyra cares about people's birthdays, Ent! Come on! She gave that picture of herself to Miley on her birthday. Besides, what could be better than a permanent vacation away from her?
Oprah is awful. My aunt, bless her, asked me if I wanted a subscription to O magazine when it first came out. I told her nicely “no thank you” but what I was really thinking is "do you know me at all?!"
I always thought they changed the supermodel judge every 3 or 4 seasons anyways??... Only Nigel and the Jays are constants on ANTM (other than Tyra)...
To be honest, I didn't even know who Paulina was before seeing her on ANTM.
i don't watch ANTM but i love paulina. she just seems like a nice person to me. and i agree about ocasek.
it reminds me of the only time i liked julia roberts. letterman asked her what she'd say to people who couldn't understand why she'd marry someone as ugly as lyle lovett. julia said 'anyone who would even ask that isn't someone i'd want to know.'
Jungle, it isn't automatic that they change the supermodel - Janice got dumped because she too was taking too much attention away from Tyra. I don't know why she dumped Twiggy - Twiggy was never going to steal the spotlight from her.
I don't like Tyra and don't care of her talk show at all.
Paulina's ego is not an issue; Tyra's is. They can bring in a new judge for less $ than what they'd need to pay Paulina who'd be going into her - what? Fourth season?
Ric was married w/ children when he and Paulina met. They've been married now for 20 years.
Anyway, I love her and would watch anything she's in.

Tyra is one scary bee otch, to say the least. I can't imagine what an excruciating experience it must be for the crew on her show, let alone the guests.
