Yesterday afternoon, Eric Meyers, took his job as a county emergency management coordinator a little too seriously. Eric was caught in the middle of a tornado. Not watching a tornado, but actually in the middle of the tornado. In his car. With a camera. Here is what he saw.

That man certainly is lucky nothing flew through the windshield and killed him. Crazy that today, when people are caught in dangerous situations their first thought isn't, "How do I protect myself & get out of this?" but, "Grab the camera! This'll be great footage for my YouTube channel!"

tornados are amazing fucking things. they can travel right down the middle of the street without touching a thing on either side. i've been back in CA since '76 and only recently quit freaking out during thunder storms.
once one tore through my dad's warehouse, cement block walls torn all apart, roof torn off, but the very fragile wooden frame work that held tubes of moulding were left untouched. when we go home from looking at it, we found our huge oak tree twisted completely off about 2 feet above the ground, but nothing else out of place.
no cows, though.
